+1. TCU? |
Clemson acceptance rate is 45% - presumably lower for out of state students. |
| UNC |
| Coastal Carolina |
| Elon |
| Indiana and Wisconsin!! Can’t believe these haven’t been listed yet. Great schools, great school spirit, great sports, great network, definitely easier to get into than UVA, has a wide range of people and out of staters, Greek is there but can be low key and doesn’t dominate like in the South. |
Wtf. No one rejected from UVA is getting into UNC oos. Wilmington is good though. |
| GMU |
OP said "she prefers a warmer climate." That rules these schools out, especially Wisconsin. Now can you believe it? |
| Miami of Ohio. beautiful small college town, happy students, frats and sororities, welcomes DC area kids. And definitely easier than UVA to get into. |
| Virginia Tech. DS toured three times and lived it (for aerospace engineering). I loved it. DW loved it. We could really see DS there but he got into UVA and went there and never looked back. |
| I’ll suggest Miami Ohio. It’s not that big, in a college town an hour from cities, has D1 football and fraternities. Slightly colder weather compared to DC. Much easier to get in than UVA. |
Perhaps with knowledge about great matches they will reconsider. And what’s your excuse regarding Indiana, snarky pants? |
+1 JMU or VT. Though I'm not so sure VT is any easier to get into, and JMU gets harder every year. |
Let’s see: UNC is harder to get into Tufts is cold and school spirit? NYU is in a city, and again, school spirit - really? Wake Forest is not easier to get into BC is cold. |
