She “thought” someone had come in the house? I mean if it wasn’t her then someone HAD to come in. This is weird!

Not a non profit. Banned by Peace Corps.

It feels like a for profit poverty porn voyeurism. Like a gentle Squid Game.

“ On January 26, 2017, the Peace Corps issued a ban preventing their volunteers from using DonorSee.[7][8] Glyer subsequently initiated a Change.org petition asking that President Trump intervene and lift the ban.[8]”

She’ll say she shot him by accident, thinking he was an intruder?

Yes, very scary. Especially if it turns out to be a random intruder.

It would be almost incomprehensible if a random person broke into their house, made their way to the bedroom, and shot the husband while leaving the wife unharmed. Not impossible, but so far-fetched that it wouldn’t even make for a good crime drama

Dateline covered two murders that were exactly this scenario. It happens.

Precisely. This is so unbelievably uncommon that it made it on a major network real crime show.

Agree very weird wording. Although some said She could’ve been nursing her baby so was not actually in the room. But then again apparently another friend said she was in bed with him, so of course it would have been an intruder.

It was 3am. She was probably asleep, bang woke her, but they already ran.

Also, some weird crimes happened at the Main St shopping center over the past couple of months. I'll have to look up what happened, but a couple of random assaults if I recall. That's very near the crime scene.

Why weren’t they with the wife and kids?

Because the wife was being questioned as a suspect - as we mentioned and all you all had to say was ‘they went to bible study for twenty years’

This still makes no sense - if the wife was being questioned (which would make sense even if she is innocent), even more reason to ask why they weren’t with the kids.

Maybe they were sleeping. They are a baby and 2 year old. Or maybe with a kind friend helping out.

Sleeping with cops searching the house, EMTs transporting a body, etc??

When my son was around that age, more towards preschool, he slept through a fire alarm and a fire truck showing up at our house in the middle of the night. Somehow the dishwasher was leaking and it set off the alarm in the ceiling below. Firemen went through the house to make sure everything was ok. My son slept through the whole thing.

Anyhow, this is really tragic. In the DC area most of us are working to accumulate wealth. And here is this guy who could have gone that same path. But instead he chose to pour his life into ending poverty. I hope the police find answers soon.

Actually, most of us are working to further the mission of the agency we work for

The wife told 911 she was hiding in the first floor bathroom and it was reported that police found the kids unharmed upstairs when they arrived. If that is correct, it makes no sense. They are 2yo and 6 months. What mother would not immediately go to her kids if she suspected an intruder in the house had just killed her husband?

LOL she's lying but our thoughts that this was a domestic incident all along was so wrong...

Police press release say homicide but no threat to community….

How did the house not have security cameras?

Asleep on the first floor - away from both her 2 under 3 and her husband?

This is just bizarre. No threat to the community yet no one is in custody?

So weird.

It kind of reminds me of this Lorton murder. It was also late at night, but not an intruder. The victim was shot through a window. He had worked for the World Bank. I wonder if the World Bank helped fund DonorSee or was involved somehow in the girls school in Malawi that Gret Glyer founded. The World Bank funds private companies doing work to help people in poor countries.
