Fairfax homicide last night

The unlocked door is interesting but since the poster posted about the shooting training from February, I'd say he's been planning this for a while. Possibly swiped a set of keys. Has probably been invited over to the house for a social event - maybe a church event. Possibly cased the house a few times. This wasn't a crime of passion. It was well planned.

Thank you to whomever posted the link. I just clicked in and out. I am very glad to see the children aren't there; imo this would be too traumatizing for them. The funeral itself looks well attended and there were over 300 people watching via the live stream when I was on. May he rest in peace. Such a tragic story.

It's kind of a minor point and I think people are making too much out of it. This guy was going to stop at nothing to see Gret dead, the 10 bullets are evidence of that. If the doors were locked, I'm sure he would have found another way to get it done.

And I'm here waiting for you to eat crow

You're an idiot and incapable of comprehending things. Were you one of those who was pushing the theory that the wife murdered her husband?

PP thinks she's a crime investigator. Does it come with a special hat?

Probably tried to reconnect with them and got rejected or something. I really don't see this woman hanging out with this lost person. I could be wrong, but I'd be shocked.

Man I’m going to use this as a cautionary tale for my DD as why she shouldn’t date until she is much older and hopefully able to somewhat filter for crazy. Hard to know what will happen but once people get working they hopefully have gotten through enough hurdles to expose those rough edges.

Please don’t do this. For one, it won’t be effective, and two trying to create anxiety in your children about INCREDIBLY unlikely occurrences is borderline cruel in my opinion.

Also, dating and relationships are a skill. Read that again - a skill. You learn how to work with, judge etc by actively being around people. Keeping someone isolated until they're older does the opposite of protecting them.

His career and life have been spiraling down...wonder if anyone recognized how dangerous he is?

Court docs indicated he asked about ordering a pizza after the hearing, is he that arrogant? Like if he couldn't have her she could not have her husband?

There was a post in this thread about Gret's family sitting in the yard while the house was processed, I wonder if there was disagreement w/in the family about how to handle the situation and they felt her handling opened him up to danger? The responsibility for the killing rests with the murderer, of course.

I used to go to a UU church, we had to get stay away orders against a few nuts.

The back door was unlocked, that was how he got in.

That poor woman. How do you move on from this?

What? They were sitting outside because no one is allowed to go inside to a crime scene! They were probably in absolute shock and disbelief! She was being questioned by the police and tending to her children. You think they were out there because they’re mad at her? Obviously she called them immediately because it takes about 20 minutes to get from where they live to their house in Fairfax.

I don't understand the absolute stupidity in posts related to mysterious deaths. So many of the comments regarding the family who died hiking in California with their dog were far worse.

To much Perry Mason. They are going to find that one subtle clue that cracks the case.

There was a statement made to a reporter that he was delusional and that the relationship only existed in his head, said to be someone close to family as source. But,court docs seemed to indicate either dated or ex-boyfriend?

Those can absolutely both be true. If you dated a guy ten years ago and didn’t have any contact since, and the guy still thought that you and he had a relationship, that relationship would exist only in his head. It appears to be exactly what happened here (although the ten years is hypothetical, not sure when they dated.)

The worst was the lady who died by the canal. Insane theories of assassinations and government cover-ups. You'd think people would have learned a lesson from one of those cases, e.g. Seth Rich who was murdered on Capitol Hill, but they keep perpetuating stupidity.

The obit says he was a parishoner at TWO churches. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Belonging to TWO churches at the same time?
