BN groups are assigned, not chosen. The one I am assigned to is very large geographically, and the outer reaches are a good 20 minute drive from my house. The whole area of the BNG is not, in fact, my neighborhood.

When I post to offer something I include my location, so that people at the other end of the boundaries can decide whether the trip is worth it. I appreciate it when they do the same.

Has your group considered sprouting a new group? Depending on where you live, that sounds like a very large geographic area. Our group has sprouted two different bng, focusing on the hyper local aspect of the gift giving

I tried my local group for the first time....giving away about 5 different items or bundles. 2 people were a few days late with pick up but everything was picked up within the week. And I think all said "thank you" in the PMs. I'm very happy with how it all went.

The are global and local tabs. The local tab is for the entire DC/MD/VA metro area.
