Thank you, they refuse to admit the obvious.

The school ranked much higher than Georgetown. Sorry you live under a rock.

Who cares? UVA is more prestigious than both.

LOL. Was waiting for this statement. UVA, Georgetown, and ND get more air time on this board than probably anywhere.

All are fine schools, OP. It's okay. No one is out to get you.

OP, maybe concentrate on something that might possibly make you happy instead of starting these ridiculous threads every week.

Keep dreaming. UVA is barely top25.

No, the College Scorecard data and US News are just looking at different things. The Dept of Ed is looking at median earnings ten years post-graduation for students who received federal financial aid. (In other words: that would exclude kids form super-rich families, so the difference can't be accounted fo by a higher percentage of super rich kids). US News is looking at average starting salary for graduates.

Georgetown grads who received federal aid as students make a median amount of $24k more than Emory grads ten years out. Emory grads make, on average, a little bit more immediately upon graduating. (The difference is pretty minuscule, too: US News says average starting salary for Emory grads is $60,200, compared to $59,500 for Georgetown. Difference in starting salaries is just over 1%. I wouldn't advise my kid to choose a school based on a 1% difference in starting salary)

I am always skeptical of this data if no adjustments are made for cost of living.

Wouldn't Emory grads have the better cost of living.

Emorys endowment is now 11 billion. The gap between the two schools continue to grow as GTown can't keep up.

“Officially”. You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.
