The ugliest renovation in the DMV

This is truly hideous. The inside more than the out, but the outside looks like a mini Ikea factory.

Did you not read the post til the end?

I like the inside. I'd get rid of the orange outside and put a porch around at least part of the front to break up the industrial look of it.

Agree that bad choices were made here.

Not sure if this will work

Aside from the ugliness of the house, and the location practically in an intersection (including a future rail crossing), I'm surprised no one has noted how the house practically touches the backyard fence in back.

I remember when I drove by a while back, I thought, how horrible--I could see through the unfinished garage that the neighbor's fence was RIGHT there. That alone told me that this was an awful build. Those neighbors have got to be pissed, too.

The agent does himself no favors by having his large photo and name plastered on the for sale sign.

I actually like the exterior, but it does not fit in with the D.C. area at all. That said, the interior is absolutely horrible and extremely confused.

So many pictures in the listing. It's like the photographer stood in the center of a room and snapped a picture every 1 second as they pivoted around the center of the room. Never seen so many pictures of stairs before. Without it being staged, it's hard to even know what each room shown in the picture even is supposed to be.

I live in VA and am not familiar with this exact area, so I went to street view and wow. There are some adorable houses along Coquelin. And then this monstrosity on the corner. It doesn’t fit the community at all. Why do builders not take in the surroundings before making something like this, I don’t understand? The neighbors must be pissed.

I'm curious too.

As written in the description: Property displays a very spacey 2 car garage with a pleasant driveway.

I've always been looking for a home with a spacey garage so I may consider it.

I think "spacey" describes the person in charge of this whole mess.

They've recently dropped their price from $2.3M to $2.1M.

Not trying to be mean or ugly, but this house should be priced around $1.1M if they actually plan to sell it. And even then it'll be a tough sell.

They should have left that original bungalow and updated it.

Man oh man after seeing this I am so, so happy with my 1986 vinyl sided faux colonial. Thank you OP for brightening my day!

They are going to have a hell of a time trying to sell that monstrosity.
