Looks like I’m heading to Frederick for shopping and restaurants. What is wrong with our politicians?

Please do. We don't want you here.

Why not I’m vaccinated, boosted and masked.

? why would you go to Frederck then?

Because I oppose having to sign up and show a passport. And no, I’m not a trump follower or republican. I will go to Howard , Frederick or anywhere that does not have a passport.

Please do. We don't want you here. Haven't we had this discussion before?

Who is “we” ? Please explain.

Exactly. I am not a part of the "we". SO presumptive to think one can talk for all. And no...I'm not a trumper either...just a regular dude who can see and read on my own. I believe in the vax, but stop short in forcing people to show any type of status. And as stated above, if you believe in showing vax status, you should believe in voter ID. Just like this virus can effect all of us...so can voting in an election, as we all have seen first hand.

You can say the opposite too. You belive in voter id? Than you should be for the passport.

Our country has a history of violating minority rights..that's why people are nervous about the ids. But,you are probably a White dude and never had any problems, right?

The vaccine passport will be so easy to fake. Has anybody ever heard of a screen shot?

Is my passport going to be scanned at businesses? Will this information be reported back to a government entity? Is it just theater?

An excellent argument to be made that vaccine passports will disproportionately affect minorities, especially blacks. Especially poorer blacks.

Is that what you want?

Hilarious. I’m not showing a vaccine card anywhere. I’ll just go spend money at Tysons and in VA.

This.

Tysons isn’t that much farther than Montgomery Mall for me.

MoCo can keep it’s useless vaccine passport and I’ll happily take my cash elsewhere.

Was there yesterday for a movie. No mask required. Some had one on; others did not. Theater was probably 30% full. Normally go to Bethesda or Rockville. If it was 100% full, probably would have thrown one on. But that is the point... common sense and personal choice.

Anonymous wrote:Look, I'm a Democrat and boosted but I think programs like this really have to be looked at critically. What benefit does it provide when mostly everyone is vaccinated? Why don't they first figure out how to get testing in schools instead? I don't really give a shit whether a handful of people in Giant are not vaccinated. When did we becoming so trusting of government? Where does it end? It sets a bad precedent. One day the precedent will be used to justify something the left doesn't approve it. I guarantee it.

One million times agree with this.

2 million times in agreement

It’s just too difficult for politicians to roll these things back. So basically there will be vaccine passports forever. Someone should ask the county council if it passes whether there is off ramp for it.

THIS!!

This is one of the reasons why I am so fiercely against a vaccine mandate for kids to attend school. Even when Covid is no longer an imminent threat, our kids will be stupidly getting this unnecessary Covid shot. Because there is not a chance they’ll roll back the requirements.

Two years into this in a county where most people are vaccinated we should be thinking about off ramps not new requirements and restrictions.

Yes. But just can’t stop playing those Montgomery County politicians from trying to impose more and more restrictions.

Talk about an echo chamber. Are they even paying the tiniest bit of attention to what their constituents want or need? Clearly not. How many MoCo residents are advocating for a vaccine passport??

+100

The article OP posted literally said that this is being done to kowtow to the "officials" living in Moco and their "foreign guests." Yuck.

This is it for me. Let people use their own judgement, common sense and make whatever choice works for them in their particular situation.

I’m not even totally sure what they mean by this! I mean, I believe you, but what is this all about?

^^Nevermind. PP again, I reread the article and it is even more clear.

Wow. Yuck is correct.

MoCo is running by the white woke TP crowd. They want to feel entitled (think Mayor DeBlasio) and think what's good for Germantown is good for CC.
