You know this or you're guessing?
based on the budget plan, nnat test will be removed from next year. Although the budget plan may not get approved

That doesn’t mean they aren’t using it this year for in-pool determinations. They already paid for and administered the test—why wouldn’t they use it one last time (assuming they really are doing a phase-out)?

Brabrand said on 10/18 they were using the NNAT and CoGAT to make the pool, but not how.

This is why they need to post how they made the pool somewhere. Maybe not cut scores by school, but "It was <X> percentile of kids based on only subsection scores" or "It required 2 subsection scores above the <X> percentile" or whatever it was.

Oh and the phase-out of NNAT was planned. It was supposed to be for this year's second graders. I assume they deferred it due to pandemic uncertainty last year, but it was discussed at a work session in fall 2020.

I'm concerned that a lot of things were discussed at that work session (eliminating work samples from home entirely was another) that they then went back on. The communication has been awful.

can anyone provide a link to Brabrand 10/18 comments on pool plans?

Either I am a bad reader or it's not a clear doc.

Wow, very odd that your pool email would have come a week later than the others. I wonder what happened.

No, it's just a place to brag. Some are also posting their pool status, to brag (or complain) about that too.

Y'all are really crazy.
