Texas "pro-life" obgyn thinks it's fine for a 9 or 10 year old to carry a baby to term

This is all good with you?

Who are they proposing should raise the baby? The 9 year old mother? The child molesting father? Force the 9 year old to carry the baby and then have CPS immediately remove it from the home? Would the 9 year old and her baby both be removed from the home? If so, would they be sent to the same foster home or would they be separated? If you are in favor of these laws, you need to come up with real life solutions.

This is beyond the pale.

They do have a plan. Barren Betty from Church and her husband get a baby they can properly raise in the faith. Catholic Services or any other of the religious-based adoption firms and their lawyers get $50k+ to facilitate the adoption. Follow the money. There’s a lot to be made in selling a product they get for free.

Still not a single forced birther will go ahead and say this is bad? You people are a pack of bloodthirsty ghouls.

In Texas it now is, yes, if the pregnancy is discovered after 6 weeks.

Only if the family of the 9 year old fails to find a physician that will attest that a medical emergency exists. I think one lone kook in Texas is getting attention for her view that a 9 year old is able to carry to term precisely because it is an atypical view.

The Texas law will be struck down. There is bipartisan support for abortion, as the majority of Americans (looking at both parties combined) support our current laws. Only 39% of Americans support more restrictions. https://www.pewforum.org/fact-sheet/public-opinion-on-abortion/ I'm not saying people shouldn't be vigilent in keeping laws as they are, but we don't need to get worked up about random obgyns with fringe extreme views, even if they weasel their way in front of congress.

Even less support for overturning Roe completely:
