It bends toward progressive policies, that’s for sure. If indeed Youngkin has won, we progressives will be back soon enough.

Progressive politics is a symptom of a civilization that has grown fat and complacent and is in its late stages. Politics does bend progressive but eventually it leads to the system collapsing or slowly declining into irrelevance while less progressive, hungrier, rising powers fill in the vacuum.

No, that isn't horrifying, although it is sad. Horrifying is killing the baby in a painful way and then delivering it in pieces because people can't face disability and death. I have two friends who took profoundly disabled babies to term and it was a spiritual time for their family as they held the baby and sang to it for a few hours before he/she died.

It is also horrifying how you objectify these babies as "non-viable fetuses." Over twenty-four weeks, just suck it up and deliver the baby.

I'm happy your friends made the choice that was best for them. My friend chose to terminate a pregnancy after the child was diagnosed with the same severe physical disability their younger child already had, but it would have been more severe. They decided as a family, based on their experience, to terminate the pregnancy. There was grief in that too.

Why did she get pregnant with a second child? So irresponsible.

She doesn't care. She also doesn't care about the child once it's born other than forcing her religious views on it.

Yes, she says "F 'em" once the babies get here, she's not paying for welfare to feed and shelter you. But she will gladly pay for your jail time later in case you run afoul of the law. She be praying for you.
