Relationship Discussion (non-explicit)

Pass on the insecure short guy who lies about his height. Blech.
I’m short myself so I’m fine dating short guys but blatantly lying on dating apps is a red flag. I provide true stats and photos that accurately portray what I look like now. I feel like I deserve that in return and wouldn’t consider dating a man who needs to lie to boost his self confidence. |
ha.. I'm the 4'11 woman ^PP married to a tall man, and I've had several guys make comments about my behind, starting from HS. But, I do have short legs. My friend is about 5'1, and her DH (6') is an a$$man and thinks hers is great, too. But we don't have long legs, that's for sure
|
Most do. Short women are naturally more feminine, which also explains why women prefer tall men because it is typically viewed as a masculine trait. I’m 5’1” so as long as a man is taller and larger than me I could care less what his height is. |
Probably to get more dates. And when they show up 50lbs heavier a man has every right not to want to go on a second date. |
|
Just remember, all you short women marrying tall men and vice versa: your daughters will probably turn out to be taller than average and your sons about average or shorter than average. And then both will be lying on dating apps.
~tall daughter whose short mother was horrified she grew so much |
they are average size, and it's fine. DH is a bit over 6'2", with long legs, and he finds doing certain things uncomfortable. This world is made for averaged size people. But even if they are average, shrug, there are many successful average sized men. |
absolutely, as a male PP stated, no one is owed a date. -female |
I've walked out of two first dates when the woman showed up and was heavier than her pictures. I'm not into playing games. If you're fat and you lie I'll just get up and leave. |
| Would you guys sign up for an app that didn't even list height? I thought tinder doesn't have a height filter. |
I think that’s the point. OP doesn’t owe short guy a date and you don’t owe fat lady a date. People blatantly lying on dating sites are intentionally misinterpreting themselves and can gtfo |
Short women are naturally more feminine? What kind of a ridiculous statement is that? And who says being super feminine is an asset? |
|
Like what? I am 6' 2" and the only thing I find uncomfortable is getting in a compact or subcompact car. Happily I don't have to own one of those. |
I am a tall man and I have not noticed that short women are necessarily more feminine. But yes being super feminine is a desirable asset from the standpoint of attracting men. |
|
I'm the guy who thinks big height differences look weird and for the record I don't think "super feminine" is necessary. But that's just me. Different strokes.
I think OP should date the guy again, partly to confront him about lying egregiously and to see what he says. |
