It's Trump's party now, and Youngkin would face significant pressure to follow the national party by banning vaccine mandates, outlawing abortion, cutting taxes for rich people, and certifying Virginia's 2024 electoral votes for Trump no matter what Virginia voters say.

Not at all. Just trying to understand PP’s circumstances. Seems like they do have job stability which isn’t always true at that HHI. And many families at that HHI struggled with childcare over the pandemic so I’d imagine that the money would help recover from the economic impacts of finding a babysitter for 1+ years. And other possible financial impacts. e.g. Did the teacher lose income over the last two summers, etc.

I imagine that little bit of money would help families even at that HHI.

Or more specifically, I believe that they believe it, but I don't trust them as narrators, and I think they have bad judgment. And, see, I think the people like you, the ones who were screaming "open the schools whatever the cost" were and are mentally unstable hysterics. Our kids did great at home. In fact all the families that I know say the same thing. Are there families that struggled? Sure but I think they were probably struggling anyway. The families I know, with stable and structured home lives, and with parents who prioritized those things, they were fine. Maybe a few of us were cramped and it was nice when the weather warmed up in the spring but everyone being at home was a nice break. There was no stress, there was no need to be running hither and thither. If anything we grew tighter as a family.

If your family didn't do as well, I am sorry. Perhaps you need to think about what you could have done differently.

No, I am actually considering voting Republican for this very reason. This is the one thing that the Dems are wrong on and I don't support them at all. I think it is funny that you think it will "destroy" the next generation when you're supporting killing the next generation.

I didn't scream anything, I didn't push for schools to be opened, and I didn't say anything about my own kids. But thanks for brilliantly demonstrating my point! I couldn't have asked for a better example of what I mean. I would wonder if this post is satire, but unfortunately the "thrivers" really do sound this unhinged as a matter of course. They have untrustworthy judgment, obviously.
