Do you think the VA governor's race will have an impact on NoVA school board elections?

Aaaaaand? Teachers weren't vaccinated until then. Requiring them to work when they weren't vaccinated wasn't an ethical choice. School is hardly something that is so necessary that it would require someone to risk his or her life for. Get real.

Plenty of schools were open last year and did just fine.

Yes, and that is why Democrats just lost the election. They chose reducing the risk to teachers by causing damage to kids, especially the most underprivileged kids. Essential workers continued working in person the entire pandemic, but not DC area public school teachers.

The closed schoolers still can't admit they were wrong, no matter how much the common knowledge and conventional wisdom has changed with the horrible evidence coming out of the damage done to kids (and the clear evidence school was safe). If I supported such horrible policies and permanent damage to so many children, I'd be desperate too.

Schools did the best given the information and resources they had available at the time during an unprecedented global crisis.

Yes, it sucked. Yes, there was learning loss. And, yes, millions of people died worldwide.

They DID NOT. The only doctor Gov said open hybrid with masks and spacing and the Health Dept approved!!! Going full virutal with that - that is not doing the best given the information you have.

Other states and private schools were open last year. Most got rid of masks for this school year too. Lets get back to normal. It's time.
