Do you let contractors use your bathroom?

Contractor here. Don''t let me use your bathroom and I'll still find a way. Your, basement laundry tub, sump pump, dehumidifier drain tub, or I'll just pee on the side of your house or garage. None of us are holding it. If you're lucky, I may go sit in my truck and use a bottle, but that's my last choice. Afraid of germs? Believe it or not, I wash my hands and would never use your hand towel. You are better off letting me use the bathroom and offering it.

This is hard for me. I recently had a cable guy come for a quick 15 minute job. . He asked to use the bathroom and was in there for a half hour. I don’t think this was acceptable.
Now we are having our kitchen renovated. Our house is small so we are keeping our bedroom areas and the basement where we have a makeshift kitchen off limits. I babysit for my grandchildren who are too young to be vaccinated and I care for my 93 year old mother. Due to Covid I do not want to risk any exposure to any of us so we have denied use of the bathrooms since they are located in these off limit spaces that I am trying to keep clean. We do not wear shoes in our house either which poses another problem. The work area is sealed off from the rest of the house. I even have to go out my front door and walk around my house to get in another door to go down to the makeshift kitchen area. One contractor who has been here for two weeks has never asked to use the bathroom but today one of the floor guys asked and my husband said no.
I really don’t want to insult or offend anyone. We probably should have discussed this issue before the work started and gotten a porta-potty.

Sometimes there are good reasons for the decisions people make.

Omg. I assume the contractors are finished now since this is old but I can’t believe somebody would have somebody come do work at their home and not let them use the toilet. If you don’t want people using your bathroom just don’t invite them over.

I find it funny office workers demand bathrooms at work, free coffee, clean break rooms yet they treat their own workers like dirt

Once my Uber driver asked to use the bathroom in my house after dropping me off.

This reminds me of a guy I knew who brought a hooker to his hotel room but didn’t want her to use the bathroom. You people are weird.
