Do you let contractors use your bathroom?

Absolutely, yes. They are human beings. You cannot time these events.

I am shocked that this is even a question.

All these crazies make their H’s sit to pee.

Only pee, no poop.

This is the norm in our neighborhood during covid as the houses are pretty small and anyone coming in is exposed and exposes everyone else.

Funny how these smug homeowners say of course I would let them and you are trash if you don't and then they talk about their powder room or the basement bathroom. Um, some of us have one bathroom and everyone uses that and to get to it you have to walk through most of the house.

Even with someone immunocompromised I would let people use a far away bathroom or a downstairs powder room that could be closed off and cleaned later. It is a completely different situation when you might not even have time to air our and clean in between someone in your family needing that bathroom.

Do you actually TELL your contractors this?

if you ever see a plastic water bottle filled with apple juice in the street, look for workmen in the area. they’ll be at the house with the homeowner who won’t let them use the bathroom.

Some of you are acting like contractors are some kind of vermin not worthy of breathing the same air as you.

SMDH.

Yes, we let them use the bathroom.

OP, did you ever read The Help? Come back and post again after you've read it. Pay particular attention to the part about the bathroom for the housekeeper.

Well if they leave it in the street they are disgusting and the homeowner made the right choice.

It’s unprofessional to ask to use the bathroom at a private home. Go on your way or go after. You should be able to map out public bathrooms in your work area. Just like if I was out for a walk I wouldn’t stop and ask a neighbor if I could use their bathroom- I would go to Starbucks, etc.

Sounds like a personal problem. When I had one bathroom the workers did not use it.
