I do the Peloton (cycling) almost every day, 45 mins to an hour. I take one rest day a week and sometimes do some stretching or an easy Peloton yoga class on that day. (I also go on walks everyday, but that's more for fun than exercise.) Anyway, I'm wondering what others do for rest days. Would love to know your thoughts/experience!

I try and take one rest day a week, usually either Saturday or Sunday, whichever day I don’t do my long weekend run. My rest day is still pretty active though, running errands or doing a fun active activity with the kids.
I do a combo of running and classes at the gym (currently streaming classes online). |
seven days rest.

I do hard workouts 5 days a week, the other 2 I go for a long walk (hour or more) and stretch/yoga.
Four days of classes (currently streaming Les Mills) and one day of running. I also walk 45-90 minutes most days, and at least one of the off days is usually a longer walk.
Once a week need my Red Bull
Four rides a week, one yoga, two rest days (but on those days I still generally go for walks).
Basically none, unless I'm traveling. I ride or run at least a little bit every day.
Zero. It’s really hard for me to nothing at all. I mostly run but when I feel I need a break I do yoga.

None. I like to torture my beautiful body
I also ride Peloton and do 3-4 days on, one off (so 1-2 a week). Also walk and do weights/core/etc.
back when the gym was open and I was lifting heavy I took 2 rest days a week.

I have been riding Peloton and have maybe taken three days off in the last 11 weeks. I don’t go hard every day and sometimes I take a week or so and do easier rides. I try to listen to my body and my brain. When I Started riding, it was so good for my mental health that I decided to do it daily.
I do either a 30 minute ride and 5 minute stretch or a 20 minute ride, 10 minute arms toning, and 5 minute stretch every day. I’m also trying to get back into at least 5 minutes of meditation a day. I’ll often do longer rides, especially on weekends or when I ride at night. Last week I was really lacking motivation and most of my regular ride types felt incredibly hard. This week, I think I’ve only done low impact and power zone endurance rides. I decided it was good to slow down and focus on form and really feel my body reacting during the rides. The focus on endurance this week has been positive both mentally and physically. |
