I watched the show way back when it was just 16 and Pregnant and a couple of them did seem like your normal teens, Maci for example.

Do we know the deal with Maci's parents? Per the show it seems like they're not in her life, but I assume they just don't want to be associated with the show - perhaps that is what prompted Maci's "I won't let Bentley be on the show if Farrah is on it" a couple of seasons ago?

True. I would put Chelsea in that category also. But it's also self-selecting, because what totally normal teen would want to showcase her teen pregnancy on television?

Every once in a while she will mention them. A couple of episodes ago she said they picked up the kids and were watching them or something like that.

Is Maci excessively thin or does she just look that way compared to the other cast members? She seems to be so tiny.

Ive come to believe its her natural frame because she looks that thin like weeks after giving birth. I just think its her. Shes not really into healthy living or anything like that so i think its just her genetics.

They were on all the time in the early days. It's just been the last 2-3 seasons they won't film. Or right around when Maci continued to get pregnant while not married...

Exactly. "Normal" teens aren't good for TV. Chelsea's storyline was only interesting because Adam was such a trainwreck. Now Adam won't film anymore and her and Cole are living a beautiful life, so her storyline is dramafree and for the most part, boring. I actually think that this will be her last season and that's why MTV brought Briana on.

Maci's parents are actually super involved in her life, they just don't want to be on the show (I believe due to their jobs)

No clue what Farrah is going through, but she's clearly a BROKEN woman. She was the most vulnerable I've seen her on the latest episode, but it's still difficult to empathize with her because she's just so so mean.

Broken, good description. She can't function with other people. I think she learned the idea of "boundaries," and substituted a concrete wall. I agree, I was uncomfortable too.

I didn't watch the season, but I saw every episode prior to that and she was horrible to her producer. Not surprising at all.
