I agree with Gary. Amber is simply not stable. She gets angry SO Fast. And Matt has a drug problem! I wouldn't be racing to give my ex more time with our child if they were living with someone using drugs.

+1 her bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder are clearly not under control

He would be nuts to give her more time until she permanently removes Matt from her life and cleans up her act. Leah doesn't need to be exposed to that anymore than she has been.

I agree completely!! I give him credit for allowing Leah to be around Amber [and Matt] at all. If she were my kid, she wouldn't be allowed to be around Matt.

Prob because he doesn't want his daughter around that creep, Matt. Would you? I wouldn't let my child in a house with him.

Regarding Mackenzie and Ryan's hasty wedding...maybe it was to get Ryan on her health insurance for rehab.

Does she work? I've read before that most of these "stars" get their insurance through the SAG.

Based on the footage from the show, Gary is an avoider, hence the "stringing along." He won't come out and say "if Matt's not around, I'll agree to 50/50 custody." Not that that would be a good idea anyway. Gary has brought up very good points about amber's ability to meet Leah's needs (getting her to school in time, for example), AND what has barely been discussed but is apparent, is that Amber frequently misses what time she does get with Leah. She's "too depressed" or is on vacation, without renegotiating a different weekend. She went to Puerto Rico on a weekend when she was supposed to have Leah, but didn't arrange in advance to switch her days. She was also so worked up over Gary's new house that she just "couldn't" go with Matt to drop Leah off there the first time. Your child has a new home and you're not invested in checking it out, or watching her reaction to seeing it for the first time?

Amber is not emotionally invested in Leah's life, and Gary knows it.

This.

She reminds me of my MIL (also bipolar/borderline) It's funny the ways they make big deals out of things like this (my MIL with my kids) but then invests no time in them. It's a slippery slope and I don't blame Gary. As kids get older, they see things differently.

Ambers guilt trips and jealousy and "I just cant's" are harmful.

Ahh, that does make sense. That quick marriage thing was just so bizzare.

And on the Dr. Drew show later, wtf, why did McKenzie have such disdain for Maci in this situation? She was totally in denial, and trying to find a scapegoat.

I've missed so much this season, but the last episode and the finale were nuts.

Mackenzie's wedding dress didn't fit (straps were loose AND bunched).

Caitlyn and Tyler need to go to the military or something. They need structure. Period.

Amber went straight 1990s Ricky Lake / Maury Povich with the lie detector test and wild gesticulating when she got the answers she already knew were there.

I feel so bad for allllllll the little kids involved in this drama. MTV needs to just film the kids, and do Real Housewives style "confessionals" with the parents. Chop the show down to 30 minutes and only air it during the holidays or back to school time. It can be a longitudinal study in dysfunction.

I'm finally convinced that Matt is horrible.

What finally did it? I didn't watch this season but I've thought he was horrible from the get go.

Don't worry, he'll be back. Amber was just posturing. She's not done with him.

There has to be relatively normal teenagers that get pregnant. Why can't MTV find any. Its also a case of what came first the chicken or the egg. Were these kids destined for a struggle or did MTV provide unique challenges/temptations. I wonder if they would have paid these girls in trusts for their kids giving them no access to the money if they would have found careers.

I watched the show way back when it was just 16 and Pregnant and a couple of them did seem like your normal teens, Maci for example.

I don't blame Gary for putting off that conversation because Amber will go nuts. He doesn't want to deal with that.
