I want all of that too, but for some reason in the past 25 years, Fairfax County wants more density. It's ok, all the new data centers will just build over any open spaces we have left so no new people will be able to move in. |

They cancelled the Western High School community meeting scheduled on November 14.
Also, the agenda for Novemeber 13 board meeting does not include the voting for programming decision. What’s going on? |
Would be very FCPS to say “we actually realized we didn’t purchase the school…sorry!” |
Of course. But if you take an average, Crossfield people would be the farthest. |
Very FCPS thing would be “People actually like a magnet idea. We should explore that option and it would take another six months.” |

Reid has made too many gaffes on this.
If they drop this as a traditional school, oh boy. |
| There is still a meeting on naming the school. |
No, there is a hearing on naming the school, but the scheduled vote on the Western HS's programming, which was on the calendar for November 13th, is not included in the meeting agenda. These folks are hilariously bad at their jobs. |
Lucy and the football. There is also a meeting on the boundary review. Could be a connection there. They really screwed things up by not stalling the boundary review and figuring out KAA first. |
It would have made sense to say "we've got a lot on our plate so this boundary review will be limited to Coates and KAA." But obviously they want to create some distance between the county-wide boundary changes and the 2027 election, so they'll just do everything poorly. Reid is a terrible manager. |
With all the different things Reid has told people, it is very difficult to believe that she is not a short timer. |
She’s just not equipped to lead a division this large and she demonstrates that over and over again. |
Does she have all golden parachute in her contract? |
| I can't believe they are canceling these meetings and pulling agenda items. This gives credence to the SL school rep who is saying they are going to slow down and not open the school in 2026 so they can listen to families fight over high school boundaries another year. As someone with a rising 9th grader, I'd prefer to decisions be made one way or another. |
