Injuries will continue to happen between now and important playoff games. Teams with depth will manage it and other teams will continue to be exposed.

In a forum full of dumb posts, this one has taken the lead spot.

This is not UNC or NW, this is public HS lacrosse in VA with dying rec programs. No one has depth to just plug anyone in.

It happened last night. YT plugged in an entire new team in this season that was mostly last year’s varsity bench and JV kids. It’s been discussed many times on this board that YT graduated their entire state team. It looked like this year’s bench was also quality. Madison is also able to plug and play with quality players. Don’t be salty, maybe work harder on your area’s rec program.

Curious how well BF would do this year if they graduated their entire starting lineup from last year. That’s the type of depth YT and Madison have. BF has a great core of starters, but are super thin after them.

Lets also not forget that YT has the advantage of letting 8th graders play in HS on JV team. That is significant with creating depth early on

YT’s depth is not grown by 8th graders playing completely lopsided JV games. Their depth comes much earlier. It comes from a quality rec program that generates an enormous number of club players where they establish skills and solid game experience long before they get anywhere near YT.

Updated thoughts on player of the year contenders? For state and each district

Of the teams that I have seen in person, strong contenders include:

Madison: SR Attack
Robo: SR Attack, SR Middie
BF: SO Attack, JR Goalie
WF: SO Goalie

I would heavy lean Madison SR Attack. Didn't consider players on other top teams (Oakton, YT, Woodson, McLean, Cosby), but they likely have players worthy of mentioning.

Madison Sr attack is front runner IMO. Just not going to go to a soph even if great players

Well, Robo was up by three at one point 5-2 Battlefield showed some amazing heart and grit after last night’s loss and came away with a victory tonight 12-10.

I like to be up front and honest. I am a BF parent, but I’m also realistic. This season is all over the place. Everyone has injuries, no one has depth, and teams were all thought that were not going to be strong are finding ways to win

Even though BF beat Madison, I do have to give the one seed to Madison

Before tonight, I would have put Robo at two, but after the string win I would give the two spot to BF with Robo also at two

YT is my number four and climbing fast

Westfield five

Oakton six and Woodson six. I know some people will argue this. But everyone can be out of sorts at times

Now, before everyone starts yelling I would argue that any these seven actually have a shot at winning the state title on any given Saturday

Good luck to all teams

battlefield glaze is crazy

Can we finally stop listing BF as one? It’s Madison and Robo 1-2. Not even a question at this point.

You sure about that?

Oh ok - so were those their “amazing hearts” we saw with all of checks in the sphere?
