Has anyone called them per chance?
They take payment up front and booked almost the entire summer (most camps selling out) in Jan/Feb. They must be sitting on at least $3 million dollars in cash (based on 10 weeks of camp, 30 camps each week, 15 kids per camp). Anyone hear anything? Thank you! |

They won't refund.
Good luck with that. |
| so they are going to take 3-4 million dollars from the parents??? |
| Have they cancelled the camps already? |
We were considering them this year. If they the money, they'll be blacklisted. |
They have their own business costs. Your numbers are high. My guess is either they will try and hold camp because the state opens them for business, or they will cancel but without much refunding. I'm not saying it is right. They should have already sent out information pertaining to this issue. They have not sent anything so, good luck getting monies back. Other camps have been sending updates and information on how refunding will work. |

I have not heard from any camps with decisions about summer.
I have had some correspondence that basically says we’ll decide in May. |
| They cannot communicate with you until they have information from policy makers. If they knew, so would you. Nobody is withholding information. The decision cannot be made until government officials give guidance. Noone has made any policy passed mid-June. Summer camps are not on the priority list yet. |
| Holton's Creative Summer hasn't cancelled but they sent a note last week saying we will receive a full refund if they cancel. |
| Given what other camps are offering (either giving credit for next summer or a refund), I’m sure they will at least give credit for the following summer. But I think they aren’t going to cancel unless Hogan/Northam close MD/VA camps, so to the extent that camp is open and you don’t want your kid to go, you will be SOL. |
Same with Washington Episcopal School camp - gained my loyalty for sure. |
| Has anyone reached out to them proactively? |
Sure, they have costs but I was referring to the amount of money they have received for summer 2020 registrations. Based on the weeks they have and the average camp costs it's at least 3.5 million (and this is conservative). |
I did. They said they're sticking with their original cancelation deadline of May 1st. Pretty unfair. |
I reached out too and they told me they would be making a decision on refund policies before the end of this month and would communicate that. |
