Madison lived up to the hype, LB didn’t pull together when it mattered most, Battlefield coasted to States, Robinson was solid but not quite enough talent, Yorktown was good but undisciplined. McLean outperformed, Cosby win over Battlefield was a big surprise.

Very knowledgeable posts this season. 6A was very competitive. I still think Atlee was the best team in the state in all divisions they have gone back to back undefeated.

We have a common opponent now. Atlee beat Cosby 14-7 and Madison beat Cosby 14-4. Would have been a good game between Madison and Atlee. My money would be on Madison but Atlee undoubtedly had a great season. Madison has now won 3 of the last 4 Class 6 state championships.

Would be great to see a match up next year, even a scrimmage. Madison will be strong again, and I assume Atlee will be, too.

Madison is an unstoppable force Just a great culture there and a coach that is tuned in and works hard.

I don't think its an accident that the formula both Madison and Robinson employ works. Coaches who work with these guys at club and keep them playing together year round.

Top Caliber is putting great high school players on the field in NoVA. The sheer depth at both these programs is pretty amazing.

If a high school wants to create the same culture the staff needs to work with local youth clubs and try to keep some kids together for a long time. It takes years and a real commitment.

Thanks for the updates, rankings, and a fun season and all the best to the Class of 23.

Lake Braddock VLC stars were fun to watch, cannot neglect mentioning them. Just really tremendous

NoVA publics are getting better and better.

You're always going to have a couple that may be iffy, but overall I think it was a good list.

If Will Rubley was playing it would have been an easy win for Robinson and Cosby.
