So he tried and failed to get out on the inspection contingency (since he didn’t have one) and now he’s trying with the financing contingency. |
The original deal was not contingent on debt financing, so he cannot use that to walk. He's pathetically trying to add that in now as a contingency, and Twitter obviously will not let him do that. |
Sucks for Elon, but its good for the world for him to own it. So I cant say I feel sorry for him. He has billions and billions left over after this deal. He will be fine, and things will go back to how they used to be, where right wing political opinions can be expressed on social media. |
As predicted. |
I am far from convinced he'll actually close. I'm very surprised the judge stayed the trial. She has been very good so far in rejecting his attempts to delay, and this latest gambit seems to be very likely to be another delay bid. She should have told him he's welcome to close, and she'll cancel the trial once the closing actually happens. |
We didn’t and do not need fascism in our faces. |
He won’t own sh1t. Whatever group of shadowy oligarchs and sovereign wealth funds backing the lenders will call the shots. There a reason Mudk is cuddling up to Putin. |
So let's get this straight. Musk talks to Putin. Starlink goes down, and simultaeanously, Musk is spouting pro-Russian rhetoric.
All while having his hands out to get money to cover his stupid Twitter offer. Sure, this all seems on the up and up. ![]() |
The Logan Act (18 U.S. Code § 953) makes it illegal for U.S. citizens to engage in unauthorized foreign diplomacy, including to "influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government" or to "defeat the measures of the United States." |
Nothing billionaires do is on the up and up. |
He’s such a f#cking dirt bag.
So now he’s lined up Chinese + Saudi financing for Twitter, plus Russian political support. Gee, I wonder why the Chinese, Saudis, and Russians are so eager to control Twitter? |
