What meal do you eat that’s around 400 cals and is filling when you’re dieting?

Looking for some suggestions - the less prep time and cooking the better.

I struggle every night with dinner. Would love to stick to around 400 cals but always go way over and am not losing weight.

Would also love any suggestions for frozen meals that are satisfying. Thanks!

Classic is chicken breast (110-130 cal), a big salad with lots of different vegetables, dressed lightly with oil and vinegar (50 cal), or lemon juice, etc. I top with shelled hemp hearts (60 cal).

You could do eggs and bacon with salad - 2 large eggs (180 cal), 2 slices of turkey bacon (70 cal)

I do frittata a lot, and load it with spinach, broccoli and peppers. Even if I eat half (which I don’t) that’s only 3 eggs worth of calories (270). You could lighten even further by using egg whites.

Pork loin is pretty caloriewise (250 cal). I pair with braised cabbage.

Soups can be low cal and filing. This one is one of my go-tos:

Meatballs in red sauce on a bed of cooked spinach or chard
nori rolls, light on the rice filled with tofu and sauteed mushrooms or cabbage
black beans over sautted vegetables topped with fresh salsa and a few crushed tortilla chips
almost any soup as long as it isn't cream based and is light on pasta/rice

Ground chicken taco salad.

Salmon and mashed cauliflower. My favorite.

One option is to stop eating so much, cut portion size, and over time smaller meals will seem more filling. If you keep stretching out your stomach you are a ticking time bomb for when you end up eating UNhealthy items because you will be eating way too much of it to feel full. I recommend reducing your food intake by 5% each week until you're eating about half as much. Then, you can even eat some foods you would have felt guilty about because you won't be eating the equivalent of 2 meals' volume of food

Skinny Pasta is a brand of Konjac noodle - very low calorie (9 calories per serving), no carbs, they are mostly fiber. This is the only brand of this type of noodle that I care for.

I make a delicious Pho using ground chicken meatballs, Skinny Pasta, fresh garlic, ginger, salt, pepper chicken broth, spring onions and Bok Choy. It's filling and low calorie.
