| I'm in no rush but want my next car to not be an ICE (internal combustion engine). What/when is the upcoming mainstream electric car to look for? Tesla's are nice but fancy/pricey. What is the non-Tesla to watch for? |
| I really like the Chevy Bolt. Good value for the money, because Chevy doesnt' draw a brand premium. Dealers are offering great discounts on it too. |
Tesla. Just bite the bullet and get it. You know you want it
|
What is the range? Do you travel with it? Where do you charge? |
| There are no EV’s on the horizon with a range of more than 300 miles. That will be the next technological hurdle, and the industry just isn’t there yet. I’m out for at least five years. |
| Tesla. |
| You could wait for the Mercedes EQC to come out in the USA in 2021. That's what I'm doing. I test drove a Tesla and frankly didn't like it that much. |
240miles-ish, just like a Model 3. We use it as a commuter car and charge at home. Just plug it in each night when you get home. |
| We have the bolt. It’s enough for DHs commute and it’s the run to the store car. Love it. |

The new Porsche looks nice.

This. This is the only option, OP. And you know it. You know you want one. Every other e-car only wishes it was the Tesla. |
There are about 40 electric vehicles in the manufacturing pipeline that you will see in the next 5 years, some as soon as this model year. I can assure you that they don’t all wish they were Tesla. There are some really nice looking (and well engineered) cars on the way! |
| Jeep Wrangler |
Tesla = iPhone. Everything else = Android. Do you really want green texts? |
PP from above. I agree. Like the ugly electric Mustang that mimics the Tesla body style almost exactly? No thanks. I don’t like knock offs. |
