What disappoints me about a current strain of feminism is this conflation between empowerment and marketing tools. Sex is a common and powerful marketing tool, initially exploited by men (bikini women draped over cars) and now also exploited by women. JLo is a total boss. She used sex to promote her show. Very successfully. That's not empowerment, that's capitalism.

What would have been empowerment, IMO, is to NOT use sex to promote the show. JLo says f&ck all you men. I'm not using my body in this way for your attention. I'm amazing without my crotch too.
