Sidwell football article in post....what are the parents saying?

You took the bait. Of their top 5 players, 4 of them are lifers or near lifers. Do your homework instead of simply going to the cliché playbook.

Bait this. Those top skill players wouldn't be as good without the recruited beef up front.

If they played a real team, they'd get crushed. But Sidwell parents don't know anything about sports to begin with, so they are no doubt ecstatic that their team is now a powerhouse at football.

It's an exciting time to be at Sidwell friends football fan. I've heard Division I scouts have taken note and are at football games. Full ride football scholarships would likely be available to many of the players, but obviously not appealing to Sidwell friends students. Academics are always first.

Because it is the bestest most better athletic school, especially for the fullest rides of scholarships

Only at Sidwell would you find scholar athletes willing to turn down a FULL RIDE to Albany.

Have you SEEN this team? If so, you would not make that statement.

No. This is more than tough. This is risking serious injury for nothing. The kids wouldn't be getting anything out of it. Not worth it, and as a football mom (not at this school) I say it's a smart decision.

The lines are enormous and many of those kids are still growing. Look like a college team.

This is the most pompous and unintentionally hilarious post I've seen on DCUM in a long time (and that's saying a lot). (And, BTW, I'm a Sidwell parent).

You can't be serious. This team is mediocre and the AD scheduled a bunch of easy teams.

Scouts? Please. There are barely even any fans.
