Are you kidding me??? lol

It's weird this bothers you more than the fact we are now governed by a full blown autocrat. It's scary as crap how crazy and incompetent this man is.

He has sense enough to know that biological men should not be playing against girls. If you think that is okay, I prefer Trump's point.

You have seized on this so you don't have to pay attention to any other issues.

It is a perfect example of how stupid and out of touch Democrats are. A vast majority of Americans are opposed to men in women's sports because most people have common sense. Only the woke idiots are in favor of something so ridiculous and harmful to actual women and girls. Democrats clearly haven't learned a thing because they keep doubling down on it.

It's a matter of degree. I don't agree with transwomen in the Olympics but a kid on a rec team who is experiencing gender dysmorphia? Of course they should play. Republicans are extremist on this issue.

But where do you draw the line? Biological males shouldn’t be competing against females.

Here's some truth on transwomen athletes:
https://www.kget.com/sports/ncaa-president-says-there-are-less-than-10-transgender-athletes-in-college-sports/

NP. The NCAA does not track the number of transgender athletes as a matter of written policy, so how exactly would the president know that information? You'll fall for any lie that serves your ideological ends, won't you?

One transgender on a girls' team can affect many, many biological girls: scholarships missed; bench sitting; games forfeited by girls that don't want to play against men. It almost destroyed one NCAA league out west.

And, there will be more and more competing if it is allowed. Almost every day you read about a trans girl in high school sports winning first place over biological girls.

Really? What on earth are you reading?

PP is not wrong. There is a trans girl on MCPS track, completely blowing the females out of the water.

Not sure why everyone keeps quoting the NCAA number of trans athletes. What about HS athletes? There was just another article about a transgirl track athlete winning state titles. I mean c'mon, can we stop waving this away and admit that this is common sense issue? Sports are, and always have been, separated by sex. It was only after the trans movement co-opted the word gender and made it completely different from sex that this became an issue. I am old enough to remember when the dictionary definition of "woman" was "adult female."

If we need to call them male and female sports, which I find ridiculous that we would even have to, then let's do it, for the sake of clarity. Because sports are most certainly not separated by a "social construct."

But is it the place of the federal government to make these rules. Shouldn’t it be regulated by the state or the universities? A women doesn’t have the right to her own body in some states because MAGA said the states should decide, why is the fed sticking their nose in this?

Last night was a major embarrassment for democrats.

+1 Truly. They were so intent on rebuffing anything Trump said or did that they lost commonsense, dignity, and decent manners.

LOL. Pot meet kettle.

PP here. I voted for Harris and can't stand Trump. I thought Democrats were better.

Without slamming Trump, can you say one positive thing about Kamala?

Dignity like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Green at the last 4 SOTUs?

Kamala, like all Democratic leaders, is surrounded by groups of well educated, whip smart technocrats who operate within the bounds of the law. It's professional government vs a crapfest of unqualified toadies.

We get it. It's impossible to stop people hell-bent on destruction. You will bring the world and then fight over the ashes unless you come to your senses, and we can't stop you.

Congratulations, you "won", chaos demons.

They've doubled down on Grampy's Revenge. They see politics as some sort of bad movie, where all that matters are the first two hours. They can't seem to think beyond that.

Go watch a state of the union from Obama or the post 9/11 one from Bush. We look like a joke now.

There is no comparison between real presidents of the past and what we've experienced 2017.

A big difference between now and then is that our presidents tended to be more moderate and reasonable to scoop out independent voters and kind of did what was popular and needed at the time. Now the middle gets screwed. They also were held to incredibly high standards in personal and professional life. It’s an unprofessional free for all now.

Those two are loathsome. We are talking about Democrats' rudeness last night.

Democratic Congresspeople are under the delusion that the US is operating under normal checks and balances. Europe understands that we’ve had a coup.

I can't ever remember a President giving a SOTU and referring to his predecessor as "the worst President in the history of our nation ". Trump is trash as are his followers.

Go look at international news sources, they are freaked out over there and rapidly arming themselves.

Now tell us what his going on with childhood cancer research funding. Go on. I think that's more important.

OMG. Of course it is more important. I am a Democrat, although at this rate not one for long because the party is going to simply implode from incompetence.

How, pray tell, did refusing to stand for a child who has survived cancer help childhood cancer funding? Do you think the petulant and pathetic tantrum the Democrats threw will do literally anything to help restore funding?

I cannot believe how terribly the Democrats performed last night. Screaming about literal Hitler in their social media or whatever, but faced with a chance to show true opposition, they waved idiotic little signs and didn’t cheer for a child who survived cancer or the mother of a murder victim? The party is lost. Totally lost.

The mess from last night showed me that they don’t have a plan. I’m not jumping ship because I find Trump more concerning than them, but what on earth were they thinking last night.

Yup. They have no plan, and out-of-touch morons are running the party.

I cannot believe that the only action Senate Democrats can exert themselves to take is on an issue where they have lost like 80% of the voters. Then they come to this speech, wave absolutely idiotic signs, and refuse to stand for childhood cancer survivors.

These people don’t deserve to govern. They are too stupid to govern.

Did you even listen to Elissa Slotkin's speech after the Trump debacle? Can you name one or two issues she spoke about that 80% of voters oppose?

If you can't answer this, then maybe you need to re-evaluate where you get your information from.

I wonder if his speech ran long on purpose so people would miss it. Does it usually start at 9 pm?

She knows a lot about joy. And she has never been afraid to take a rhetorical risk.
