Absolutely happy and content. I love him more than anything in the whole world. He's an amazing husband, partner, friend and father. I make way more than he does, and I'm okay with that. He always makes me laugh and there's no one I'd rather spend my time with.....married close to 20 years.....

Despite lower career success, he invested well, making up for earnings (and I have my own career success). Parenting has been as high as a 9/10, but a 17 year old with the same personality as his dad, makes it tough.

Absolutely content, very happy and would do it all over again. He's a great human.

Does the lack of generosity bother you? What is the barrier to him being more generous, do you think? I am glad that you are still content, and no one "has it all." Just curious.

Does the lack of generosity bother you? What is the barrier to him being more generous, do you think? I am glad that you are still content, and no one "has it all." Just curious.

I think I viewed it in the lens of being generous with money, but he is definitely more generous of his time (maybe 3/10 being generous with money and 7/10 being generous with his time?). He grew up very money insecure, and the downside to that is that he just doesn't really think about giving to others first. He needs a lot in the bank to feel secure. It's not that he doesn't give anything, it's just not among his first impulses.

Of course, part of the way he grew up has fueled his career ambition and made him successful at a relatively young age.

We've been together for quite some time and have a good balance. He does not object to me being more generous than he.

8. Earnings- 7 (he routinely turns down higher paying jobs because he has The Dream Job. Last offer was double what he makes currently (280k vs his 120k)).

I'm extremely content. We're both very tired with our baby and toddler, but I'm so glad to be tired with DH. This rating scale didn't mention ADD, but I often feel like DH's personal secretary. But I'm very happy and if scheduling appointments and buying gifts makes everything run smoother, then I will do it.
