Two separate occcasions a few years apart where I was told I look like Charlize Theron. Yea, right...her older, ugly sister. I was really flattered, but I don't get it.

When my ex-MIL told me I raised a wonderful, caring son despite his father. When anyone praises my son for his heart of gold, or tells me I did a great job raising him.

Several years ago, someone said at a gathering that I was "really beautiful" it was a small party of new and old friends. My oldest friend put her arm around me and said, she is even more beautiful in the inside. The second compliment meant a ton to me and perks me up on down days to this day.
