Michelle Obama's Schiaparelli Gown Was Designed to Match Her "Strength and Energy"

I agree. She is a beautiful woman but this dress does nothing for her. Makes her waist seem non-existent and her chest look out of proportion small.

I think it's actually a gorgeous dress - as designed. But it's not a good shape for her body type - or at least it doesn't appear to be. The design seems to try for a classic hourglass shape, and she doesn't have enough curve in and out to make the dress look anything other than a column. Maybe that's the dress' fault, or maybe its just a mismatch - I dunno. She has definitely looked much much better in other gowns.

I love the color but the design is terrible.

Her face is looking beautiful! Very youthful and pretty.

She looks gorgeous, but the dress doesn't fit her well. I think the material could have been used in a different, more complementary style of dress. The fabric is beautiful, and it looks good on her.

oh man, that's terrible. I love her and think she is beautiful and fit, but this dress does absolutely nothing for her. She looks like a big sparkly rectangle.

She is beautiful but that dress is butt ugly

Wow that looks awful. Makes her chest look tiny and her waist look wide.

The color of the dress is nice, but the designer should be ashamed they missed the mark, designing that dress. She looks beautiful, as always.

I think a few years ago this dress would have looked fabulous but she is a lot thicker in the middle and her hips now and needs clothes that camouflage that better.

That fit is awful. It shows that she has no waist--you should never wear a sparkly belt at your waistline if you're built like that. IT's all wrong for her.

OMG! Does she not have a mirror? No waist in sight! A tall woman like her, has to fish really, really bad to get a dress that is such a bad fit! Any dress would look better than that!
