Yeah, the way she told that story makes her sound loony. Here's an excerpt, explaining part of her reaction after she realizes that the door won't open:

“I cleaned the bathroom and thought about taking a shower or something but then I saw it… the door. I just looked at it for the first time with a yearning of just wanting it to open… would my eyes trick me and make it happen faster ???”

She's not emotionally and mentally stable. Is she a great dancer and entertainer? Yes. Is she extremely pretty with a great figure? Yes. Does she probably love her sons? Yes. Nonetheless, she has significant issues.

Yep. Dad was more concerned with getting her to lose weight and get back on TV so she could make money than he was about her mental health.
