How do you know he was fine at 10:40 AM?

He called his bondsman on the telephone

The bondsman said he was out of breath. I don’t think he’s fine.

Are you saying he unhooked himself from his suicide set up to answer the phone from his bondsman? Sorry I’m a bit out of breath because you called while I was breathing some carbon monoxide in my car?

...

I watch a lot of crime tv. There isn't a 'set up' usual for the garage suicide by CM scenario.

He hooked a hose to his car exhaust pipe, turned the car on, rolled all the windows up, and put the end of the hose through the top of the driver's side window. Stuffed a shirt or something in the rest of the opening.

It would take a few minutes for the car to fill up with enough of the poisonous air to render him unconscious. Giving him more than enough time to call his bonds man during the process.

Before the science experts chime in about not enough carbon monoxide in modern car exhaust, modern cars burn very efficiently. There would be little oxygen in the exhaust. The atmosphere will quickly become depleted of oxygen. Your body can't sense a lack of oxygen, only the buildup of carbon dioxide. He almost certainly passed out quickly and quietly.

I’m the PP you’re responding to. He wouldn’t have to get out of his car to answer his phone. I don’t understand what you mean by “unhook.” If the bondsman called, and he answered while in the car, it is absolutely possible he was feeling the effects of the carbon monoxide, but not unconscious. You can see from my next post that he was indeed not fine. No one who is fine needs 30 minutes of CPR to find a pulse.

I don’t believe the man answered the phone will committing suicide in his car. That’s TV not real life.

Wouldn't that depend on car size? Dulos drove SUVs which would take longer.

NYT says he’s dead

Unfortunately I knew someone who decided to “document “ their death from carbon monoxide poisoning in a car by writing down what was happening moment by moment. It gets garbled pretty quickly. Cars had more emissions back then.

So sad for the children (NOT that I thought he was innocent or that the kids should be with him), but to have both your parents die in such a way...

He should have been in jail. Travesty of our justice system. He should have rotted in jail.

I guess he thought there was enough evidence to convict him.
