May he burn in hell.

What a coward he was.

A nightmare of a human. Wondering what will happen to the other perps involved. Hopefully the children will have some stability from now on.

How do you know he was fine at 10:40 AM?

He called his bondsman on the telephone

The bondsman said he was out of breath. I don’t think he’s fine.

Are you saying he unhooked himself from his suicide set up to answer the phone from his bondsman? Sorry I’m a bit out of breath because you called while I was breathing some carbon monoxide in my car?

...

I watch a lot of crime tv. There isn't a 'set up' usual for the garage suicide by CM scenario.

He hooked a hose to his car exhaust pipe, turned the car on, rolled all the windows up, and put the end of the hose through the top of the driver's side window. Stuffed a shirt or something in the rest of the opening.

It would take a few minutes for the car to fill up with enough of the poisonous air to render him unconscious. Giving him more than enough time to call his bonds man during the process.

Before the science experts chime in about not enough carbon monoxide in modern car exhaust, modern cars burn very efficiently. There would be little oxygen in the exhaust. The atmosphere will quickly become depleted of oxygen. Your body can't sense a lack of oxygen, only the buildup of carbon dioxide. He almost certainly passed out quickly and quietly.

Wouldn't that depend on car size? Dulos drove SUVs which would take longer.

About twice the internal volume maybe? I doubt it would make a big difference.

No, it's the lack of oxygen. It doesn't take much for confusion to start.

Sheesh, I run to walmart and he's dead again.

He drove a Suburban. The exhaust can kill you, especially if you tinker with the engine to make it run rich. Not saying he did that, just that you can.

I feel so bad for those 5 kids. They are the victims.

I feel for those kids too. They have had a rough go. Their grandmother is killed at their home by their nanny. Then they live through a contentious divorce and custody battle, Then their mother disappears and is likely murdered. Then their father kills himself.

And they are living with their remaining 85 year old grandmother. I hope they don't lose her soon too.

Kids are 8 to 13 years old. Old enough to know what is going on.

The grandmother must be so relieved. I know I would be.

Wait what? A different nanny killed their other grandmother??

Lots of speculation that he paid the nanny to do it. Grandma had also 'fallen' down a long flight of stairs in the family home a few weeks before her death. Maybe she was just very accident prone but with him as a son....who knows.

I’m the PP you’re responding to. He wouldn’t have to get out of his car to answer his phone. I don’t understand what you mean by “unhook.” If the bondsman called, and he answered while in the car, it is absolutely possible he was feeling the effects of the carbon monoxide, but not unconscious. You can see from my next post that he was indeed not fine. No one who is fine needs 30 minutes of CPR to find a pulse.

I don’t believe the man answered the phone will committing suicide in his car. That’s TV not real life.

You’re welcome to your opinion, but I believe the timeline disagrees with you.

Just because it seemed like a bad mystery novel with clues turning up her there and everywhere it’s an old and tawdry story. With smoke and mirrors powered by money. Which will be made into a media / TV story.
An angry and disturbed man killed his wife and then himself. Of course he said she had mental problems.
His wife was right to fear for her life. Her body will likely never be found.
The grandmother was right to protect the children
Their children will grow up orphans with this story following them like a bad smell.

Yes and the best thing for the kids! Now she can raise them and appoint someone if she were to pass away.

This was at a different house than the Fotis suicide, but what a cursed family for sure. I don't know who would want to buy either his house where he suicided, or her rental house where she was attacked. Too bad though, both are beautiful houses.

Not that I am in the market or can even afford it, but I'm not superstitious whatsoever. I don't believe that an evil owner's vibe or ghost whatever will go on to the next owner, a la The Grudge.
