my "reading between the lines" of this is that Hannah and Jess 100% had weed pens, and it's an "industry standard" to look the other way for weed pens (hello! if they can drink between charters, how is weed between charters any different?) but that it's technically illegal per their contract where as drinking isn't ... so when Jess started taking about the weed pen, and was "corrected" she remembered the need to lie and claim it was a CBD pen, and that she just confused them, because she forgot she is on camera and can't talk openly about this stuff.

One of the deck hands had to leave immediately, because his grandmother was in the hospital “they thought it was the flu, but they didn’t think she was going to make it through the night”. Hits home how things were before COVID, how unknowingly we all were.

Seems like Rachel turns out to be a Hot Mess. It'll be interesting to see what happens with her. If I remember correctly Ben is over Below Deck but said he'll come in to fill in if needed. But I LOVE Ben (not sexually, just as a person) and hope they need to pull him on the boat.

Captain Lee eats cheerios and coffee for breakfast and it took the Slow Stew like 25 minutes to get him his food? Ugh.

They absolutely had weed pens and I agree Jess forgot to stick with the standard line. But weed on the boat and drinking between charters are 2 very different things. All 3 franchises now have had issues with drugs on the boat and all have been clear that if drugs are found on board there are severe consequences. That’s why when there is a possibility the guests have drugs it’s an issue (in addition to possible crew impairment).

I thought it was interesting that Captain Lee gave his confessional speech about no intimidation this time and people will be fired. They weren’t fired last time because he didn’t know Ashton and Kevin were behaving as they were. It was like he gave extra chances and now won’t be. So people could still misbehave and he wouldn’t know until the show aired.

So far I like the new chief stew - Francesca.

Izzy (the new 3rd stew) is so vulgar. She reminds me of Aesha. I liked Aesha as she was so sweet, but just so vulgar when she didn't need to be.

Rachel seems a little nutty. But on WWHL a few nights ago, both Izzy and Shane said that Rachel is an awesome chef (rated 11 on a scale of 1 to 10).
