It happens before going to the floor vote.

I think he’s gonna triple down after this.

Maybe Kavanaugh will withdraw himself from consideration rather than have the fbi all up in his junk. People are crawling out of the woodwork to talk about his party days.

Have you learned nothing from yesterday?

They've kind of buried the lede. This is what the NY Times says:

In Dramatic Reversal, Flake Seeks Additional F.B.I Investigation into Kavanaugh

It could be good if McConnell and the full Senate won't allow the full week investigation, and on that basis, Flake plus a couple others could final vote "No".

I think the implication is that Flake is a no on the floor vote unless there’s a proper investigation.

Thank you for clarifying.

This is my takeaway too. They advanced it out of committee. McConnell now can postpone the vote to accommodate a 1 week investigation or Flake won't be a Yes.?

But even if Flake votes no, the Senate would be 50-50 and Mike Pence would break the tie. We need one more Senator (Murkowski/Collins) to push for the FBI investigation.

If Flake is a no, he’ll bring others with him.

I think they're morally exhausted from standing around while their elders and supposedly betters wriggle in and out of deals.

So, what if the government shuts down. Nothing is being done.

They will want to pick their FBI agent as well. Wait for it.

Trump has no idea what is going on.

No man better earned his name. I don't trust him in the least.

People don't want to be held responsible for dumb things they did in HIGH SCHOOL. According to Kavanaugh, it was a normal way of partying. He specifically repeated that it was normal back then to drink at 18 because that was allowed. For those who have been drunk, do you really think you never did anything inappropriate when drunk. You don't remember it! And if partying was an every weekend thing, you definitely will not remember who this Ford girl was-she didn't seem like she would be a very outgoing loud 'look at me' girl back then.

You might be trolling. But it sounds legit.
