Because their entire time in politics has been crazy. They have no idea that back in the good old days of 2005, we didn’t have birtherism or insane things every single day

So is the FBI going to investigate Swetnick and Ramirez also? The committee said “current allegations.” Does that mean just Ford’s or all those currently made?

In.

Done and done.

thanks for the laughs DCUM.

Can someone forward the link of the bart o'kavanaugh blog post to the FBI? Isn't that something the FBI should know about ?

I think it means all of them. Wonder what will happen if the Yale women come forward too.

Wow! Trump just said that Ford's testimony was "very credible" and that "she is a very fine woman." He was asked about Kavanaugh's testimony and paused to think about it (unlike his answer about Ford) and said it was good and he'd "never seen anything like it." He also said he was fine with waiting a week if that was what the senate comes up with.

Obviously he doesn't think Kavanaugh is a winner - he's distancing himself.

You might be trolling. But it sounds legit.

no it doesn't. it's just more politiking. but if you hate Trump and don't mind the media, why not join the bandwagon?

Aw, poor crybaby.

He specifically repeated that it was normal back then to drink at 18 because that was allowed. For those who have been drunk, do you really think you never did anything inappropriate when drunk. You don't remember it! And if partying was an every weekend thing, you definitely will not remember who this Ford girl was-she didn't seem like she would be a very outgoing loud 'look at me' girl back then.

1. He’s being held responsible for lying about it now.
2. Attempted rape is a normal way of partying? For who?
3. It wasn’t legal for him to drink. He was 17 the drinking age had been raised to 21.
4. Then say, “I don’t remember,” not “I was a virgin and I never drink, not ever.” A lie that contradicts his most recent claims.
5. You just can’t help yourself and not insult Ford, can you?

I think we ought to thanks the women who confronted Flake in the elevator this morning. I have to believe their voices made the difference.

So, what if the government shuts down. Nothing is being done.

They will want to pick their FBI agent as well. Wait for it.

They are all honorable men and women. Trump hasn't and frankly can't compromise the integrity of those agents. Of course there are a few bad apples--but it among the soundest of our remaining institutions.

I think the implication is that Flake is a no on the floor vote unless there’s a proper investigation.

Thank you for clarifying.

This is my takeaway too. They advanced it out of committee. McConnell now can postpone the vote to accommodate a 1 week investigation or Flake won't be a Yes.?

But even if Flake votes no, the Senate would be 50-50 and Mike Pence would break the tie. We need one more Senator (Murkowski/Collins) to push for the FBI investigation.

You must be new to politics. You are about three steps behind.
