He made it sound like "oh I was trying to do something nice for you and you ran off." um no, she said she likes to watch the game alone, you guilt her into watching it with you, then you are a loud obnoxious jerk when she comes over to watch it. She gets annoyed and leave to watch the game in peace and you show up at her door unannounced and make everything a guilt trip about you. I can not stand Toby. I was so hoping they would kill him off.

Was it clean? If not. Did he scrub the bathroom tile floors?
What about cleaning up the rose petals and lights? Should have shown them cleaning it up together at the end!

I kind of like that story line.

But they have known each other since 4th grade and first kissed in 8th so it seems like they were together for a long time but married only briefly. I think the problem with Sophie is the actress, she isn't that great.

Jack is amazing is killing me. So much so that now Mandy Moore is annoying me and I generally like her.

Having lost my parents to cancer I think they are doing the Randall story really well. It is a complete mind fuck to worry about someone not on treatment and try to figure out how/when they are going to die. To go between yelling to crying. Plus work.....yeah, mine became a shit show too so perhaps it just strikes close to home.

But isn't it more than that? The entire episode that is what i thought it was, but then his hand was shaking at the end. I think he is more worried about his own illness/death. Because he knows something is wrong with him and he feels the need to hide it - because he always has to be perfect.

I think the point is to make it that much harder on the audience when he does eventually die. Which we know will happen. And I spent all last night hoping it wasn't this episode since they showed Kate as an obvious teenager when they were going out to dinner with Sheely and Miguel

Me too. I'm still thinking about the 9/11 connection that a pp mentioned and thought Jack was taking her to NYC.

Totally agree with all of the above. I like Toby, but his need for attention is getting super-annoying. That said, I felt really bad for him when he gave Kate the ring and left. So sad that he had planned on giving it to her in a special way, and then had to leave in humiliation. I wonder what next week will bring, since it showed Kate heading to Duke's cabin. Hopefully, she's just going there to tell him off.

This is true too. He's constantly doing nice things for Kate and she really hasn't reciprocated. I was also wondering why Toby doesn't just enroll in the fat camp too. It seems like he would benefit as well. Also - what does he do for a living??? I don't think they've ever addressed that.
