He is a political operative meant to sow division and chaos. And it worked until January 20th. |
That’s because stupid people were convinced that Twitter owes them 1A protection. Also, if the final say over removal of a comment remains with a company, it’s not infringement. |
Once again, I’d like to explain that the whole point of 1A is those consequences can’t come from the government. |
When companies suppress speech under threat from the government, either explicit or implicit, that is absolutely a first amendment issue. Look, stop advertising your ignorance of first amendment jurisprudence. It’s embarrassing. Twitter owes nobody free speech. Our government owes its citizens free speech. You seem to not understand the difference. |
The law on first amendment issues is not nearly this clear when it comes to alleged terroristic threats made by non-citizens. |
Alleged is the word Also, though non citizen, he has rights on the level of a citizen What were these threats? They would have to actually come from his mouth. And random threats aren't enough. Otherwise Steve bannin would be in jail |
Man, you don’t understand some of the legal basics here. |
So, really, we need to be extremely careful about any person to whom we issue gree. Cards. Perhaps slow the process. |
+1 |
Are you sure green card holders have the same rights as a citizen? And even if they do, supporting designated terrorist groups is not necessarily covered by the 1st Amendment--even for citizens descended from Mayflower pilgrims. It may be a "gray area" in this case, but gray may as well be black when Trump is in office and the US (along with much of the world) is in the throws of an anti-immigrant backlash. |
The anti-American threats made today by Blanche will be discussed by historians 250 years from now. Appointees in this administration are going to serve time. |
What some of you don’t seem to understand is that even if he is released and allowed to remain for now, the Department of State can simply not remove the provisional component of his green card and allow it expire. They don’t need a reason that you agree with. So whether he’s deported now or a year from now, he’s done. |
And a good thing, too. |
Yes it is just the start. The pro Israeli crowd has a long list of people they want arrested and replaced with loyal pro Israeli. America, what’s it like to become a vessel state to Israel? |
At first I thought they were MAGA with the sea of red shirts. I couldn’t make out what they said. I need my glasses. I did see that they were in Trump Tower protesting and an older lady was being arrested: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP82UsawY/ I posted the earlier link with Susan Sarandon in the front of the line at the court. |
