This is 100 percent true. Definitely noticeable, and definitely not normal.

Yup.

It'll be a cold day in hell before the US military accepts responsibility and accountability.

Not one word, not one peep out of DoD.

Where the hell is Hegseth, or at a minimum, his "crackerjack" experienced spokesman John Ullyot?

Ullyot had no problem getting the word out that they were stripping Milley of clearances just a few hours earlier.

Be he's mum on this???

Secretary BoozeBag’s “statement” was a tweet that said his department was “poised to assist if needed.” MFer, your department CAUSED this accident, so put down the Pappy and do your freaking job. They are all such cowards.

This is wrong. Both hegseth and trump issued statements before 11:00 last night. Not fans of either but this is incorrect.

WH put out generic statement. Trump was absent until 1 am and then blamed the air traffic controllers at the agency where he had just fired their director and many others.

Then Trump wrote “NOT GOOD” like a six year old.

But we live in bizarro world, so Trump will blame Biden and conspiracies will abound.

One would hope that the FAA and the Army would internally investigate and change their protocols.

It's incredible how quickly this administration gets information out by leveraging social media. It's completely different from the slow-moving bureaucracy of the previous administration; they would wait a week for a press conference on antiquated TV.

Agree some info is just incredible.

Sec Duffy: "It is not standard to have aircraft collide. Want to be clear on that, ”

Also blamed the soldiers who were flying the Blackhawk, as any decent Commander-In-Chief would do.

Well I suppose that makes it easy for the families to demand the US compensate them for their loss, one that could have been prevented. It doesn’t so in d like he’s prepared to give them answers.

It’s pretty clear the helicopter f’d up.

Another AA flight landing after the one that crashed immediately peels off west and presumably heads for Dulles.
I don't think military helicopters are under airport tower control.

You don’t know what you’re talking about, and the American flight is calming directed to go around and then contact Potomac approach, which directed it to another airport. It doesn’t “peel off” anywhere.

To come to this thread and see people spouting off about DEI when our community just lost real children with so much talent and life left to live … there simply are no words. This is real life. These are real people. This is an unimaginable tragedy.

I know, I didn't know any of these people but I've teared up several times today reading about this. It's so heartbreaking. And this just hits so close to home, thinking about all the times we, and so many others who live here, fly in and out of DCA.

If he actually holds the military accountable (he probably won't) that would be a good thing. Anyone who authorized these flights should be dishonorably discharged. Generals should be instructed to cross the river by car. There's no excuse for a "training" flight be conducted anywhere near this area.

Mostly frozen? Temps have been above freezing for several days.

Well large sections of the river were still frozen know-it-all, whether you understand that or not.

(How arrogant many posters are. Multiple people said they saw ice with their own eyes but you still think you are right!)

Jumping to defaming people with no investigation or fact finding is so incredibly toxic and irresponsible.

Right. Canceling DEI (and transgender service members!) instead of flight safety.
