A lot of people get married in a church they are familiar with even if they are not devout in church teachings and don't regularly attend services. They are called Chreasters ( Christmas and Easter Catholics).

I literally just posted an article from the time of their wedding where Giselle talks about his Catholicism being part of what made him perfect for her.

Also, the only reason I posted those links or mentioned any of it was to call out the hypocrisy of the poster who called Giselle’s new baby a ba$trd, which I found gross and offensive.

Anyway, it sounds like Giselle now has a healthy baby and I hope things go well for them.

How do you know it’s healthy?

And why are you offended by bastard? The child is quite literally a bastard.

Dictionary.com
“A person born of unmarried parents; an illegitimate child.”

But NO. A human cannot be illegitimate based on the relationship status of the mother.

OK good for her, but serious Catholics don't live together with their baby and partner without being married. I am not criticizing her lifestyle, just saying that a serious Catholic would not do that. So she's probably a cultural Catholic Aka Chreaster. Church is packed with the once a year Catholics every Easter.

IDGAF who she lives with or what she believes. I do GAF about judgmental biddies calling children ba$tards

Also, for people speaking about what good Catholics should do, educate yourself. Single mothers get the sacraments and they and their children are not relegated to any weird status in the church. All canonical laws that punished single mothers or children born to them have been overturned. Well over half of babies in Brazil are born to single mothers BTW.

Perhaps you ought to live in Brazil. 90% of the country is Catholic and the vast majority go to mass frequently and are rather religious. At the same time, you would be shocked at how their behavior contrasts with your puritanical world view.
