Why can’t Herndon make signs for their fields? Or have admin out there policing? Is it considered trespassing if someone won’t get off the field? Sounds like parents need to stick around and get vocal to kick these people off.

Our team has not had even one scrimmage or friendly all season. The first time the coach saw kids play soccer was Sat at the tournament.

Yes, it is trespassing.

The issue is its just so many people. The coaches ask them to leave they go stand on the side and kick the ball and still encroach on practice, then another group shows up and starts playing in the goal etc. Grown middle aged adults taking their kids out to the field to throw a ball, etc. its just SO many people.

They put up signs at Bready and Bready doesn't seem to have the same issues.

Herndon needs to have admins on the fields during practices specifically to keep the fields clear and safe, if its to that level.

Same. They scheduled friendlies for some teams but not others. We can't scrimmage on a quarter field.

Someone from Herndon should reach out the the property manager for those apartments nearby, so a message can go out to residents that they are not to go on the field when it’s being used by an organization. It may not completely solve things but it’s a step. And for anyone who isn’t cooperating, tell them you will be calling the police. Some people need to learn the hard way.

Its aggravating that they are putting rec teams on the travel fields when the travel teams aren't being assigned reasonable space to practice. Herndon rec soccer costs $100. They can practice on grass.

Agree.

I do not understand a rec team being assigned the same amount of turf field space as a high school club team.

I can see parents not wanting to confront pickup players.

They can, and they do bother at Bready, which is not chaotic. They put the older kids at Hutchinson and Arrowbrook and shrug.

We had a away game at Arrowbrook and the locals at the park were so annoying!

There was a huge group of men playing on the warm up turf right next to the field and they refused to leave when our coach asked so we could warm up.

They continued playing there once our game started and their ball kept coming on to the field. The referee asked them to stop playing. They refused. So the referee just continued our game. During halftime literally 30+ people ran out on to the field and had to be evicted off for the second half.

A few years ago, my DD practiced in Herndon. There were security at the high school and they would kick them off. If there was space for them, my coach didn't mind.

None of the travel teams were given space at HHS to practice this fall. Usually we have it. All the teams are at Arrowbrook Hutchison and Bready.

Putting every girls team and all the younger teams at Bready is an admission that the other two fields are out of control and unsafe.
