I remember seeing a listing of teams posted somewhere. Does anyone know where teams are posted? My DS is playing in this and we are wondering who else is participating. The website doesn't appear to be updating. All the other tournaments in November appear to have started at least posting teams applied/accepted.

Overview

The Capital Cup will take place in Fairfax, VA and will feature all turf fields. With weather being such a factor this time of year we are offering our multiple turf field complexes at a reasonable price. You will get a 3 game minimum and all age groups will be a Championship Format with finals. The event will be open to all levels of play for U8-U19 Girls Only. Application Deadline is October 11, 2019.

OP is talking about Nation's Cup in McLean. Not Capital Cup in Richmond.

It’s always traditionally Richmond or Bethesda.

Yes. That's why McLean teams make up 25% of the registration. Last year McLean teams went to NC Showcase. This year they are doing their own tiny tournament. Sinking ship....

not that tiny when you have Loudoun, and Arlington in it. whats the date does it run same time as Bethesda tournament?

Ha! Of course their butt buddies (Loudoun/arlington) are doing the tournament. It’s quid pro quo. Those 3 always have their noses up each other’s asses. They will attend their tournaments to this spring. You think they would want to branch out...but after not doing well in MD tournaments makes sense they want to stay in VA.

Given that the host is guaranteeing turf fields for all matches, I wouldn't want it to be too large. After all, it was the failure of BSC to provide quality fields across the board that lead to last year's issues … not that Muldoon's and nearby venues were great in prior years.

Great list for U-12...will be nice to play some new teams...

TO whomever has this info....

Have brackets been sent out yet? Or is there any info on when more info is forthcoming? Their website just says "coming soon" for everything
