The tournament is 3 weeks (girls) or 4 weeks away(boys). A schedule 2 weeks out is what I would expect. |
They play each other all of the time. Boring. |
AT this point it's 2 1/2 weeks out and they haven't even posted a list of teams that have "applied" to the tournament site. |
they lists are out there though- boys link is above. Saw the girls list somewhere but cant find that direct link anymore |
found it https://events.gotsport.com/events/teamlist.aspx?eventid=70917 |
The lists have been published for a while. |
| I just clicked on Fields and the Evergreen complex pops up. What??? Those are not in Fairfax??? |
Is this this up to date? My DS team is not on the list but we have been told by our club we are playing in it. When will the schedule be released as well? Cant find any info on the Mclean club website or the gotsport site either. |
Many times for tournaments like this the schedule comes out 1-2 weeks before the event. |
Same with both of my sons' teams. They are not on the 'teams accepted list'. One team won their bracket and the other team made it to the Finals in this tournament last year so I don't see why they wouldn't be accepted, but they aren't on the list. This was the only tournament they were going to do this Fall. |
oops. I am talking about Bethesda--not McLean tournament. |
I wouldn’t worry too much as our DD plays for McLean and our team wasn’t even on the list of accepted teams until a few days ago. And we’ve known we would play in it since August. Probably still catching up from the Discovery Cup. |

final for U12
Loudoun vs Mclean Winner: Loudoun |
I would have thought they would have put Arlington and Loudoun (the two strongest teams in the field) on other sides of the bracket. But my guess is they will play two games and then A1 will play B2 and B1 will play A2 in the semis with the winner of each moving on to a championship. I think that matters because I've seen lots of tournaments where two closely matched teams play twice, and it is almost always a split decision, so the order in which you play matters for who ends up champion. If they do play A1 v B2 and B1 v A2, I am going to guess Loudoun plays Calvert and Arlington plays McLean with Loudoun meeting Arlington in the final, which I think is a pick'em given that it will be the second meeting of the two... |
