I mean this is a potential lawsuit, you never throw a critical or even dead patient into the back of a car. No one was aware of this?

You expected them to leave his body pumping its volume of blood out onto the ground under that canopy?

I think anybody with half a brain could probably tell he was a goner. There were thousands of witnesses to his murder on scene, and millions more on the internet - they didn't really need to be worried about preserving the scene and chalking around his corpse.

Further, while it is best practice to not move a victim who might be suffering a spinal injury, in certain circumstances it is absolutely better to remove them from the unsecured scene of an active crime wherein they could potentially be harmed further. Anyone who doesn't know this simply doesn't have medical and/or law enforcement experience.

You put pressure on the wound and call 911

I'm sorry but you are a silly, unserious person.

Do you have no grasp of the wound created by a 30.06 round to a human body? They did attempt to apply pressure, you can see that in some of the videos circulating the interwebs. But no, it would not have been any better to leave him laying on the ground while waiting for an EMS team to get there when there wasn't one on site.

As I said before, he was doubtless DOA at the hospital. He would have been DOA with an EMS team, too. His carotid artery was blown apart by that 30.06 round - it was an unsurvivable injury. Like all the little kiddies whose bodies got so ripped apart by high velocity gunfire at Uvalde that they had to be identified by DNA.

You still call 911

I’m surprised nobody has ever mentioned that there should have been an EMT unit standing by for the crowd of 5,000. This oversight is either by TPUSA or the college.

Charlie should have traveled with a robust, competent, security team. In one early video of the shooting the security guy closest to him was holding a cup of coffee. I’ve seen the shooting and I think he was dead right away. The rag doll posture is classic with brain death. I have no criticism for them not announcing it until his family was notified.

Maybe they did. Doesn’t matter. EMTs wouldn’t have done squat. He was done by the time he hit the ground. It’s obvious. How he was taken to the hospital is irrelevant. There is no law you need an EMS transport.

But any other death you’d call 911. A pedestrian vs car, drowning, fall, electrical shock, burn, why is this different?

Assuming you didn't have bodyguards, yes, it was just like any other death.

But you would call 911 for any other death.

The EMTs would have provide a detailed report as well, which of course is missing here.

The way he was shot was instant death. Paramedics wouldn’t have been able to do anything

Then what was the point of throwing him the car? Why not apply pressure until the EMTs arrive? Which should have been parked close by.

There’s a difference between finding the corpse of someone who is obviously already dead versus finding someone who might still be saved versus witnessing someone die suddenly right before your eyes. Of course dead and dying people get moved. People check for a pulse, attempt CPR, cradle a loved one, fish their toddler’s limp body out of a pool, crawl out from under other victims after mass shootings.

It’s not like Charlie’s security guards were totally calm and rational immediately after witnessing his unexpected, sudden, violent demise.

You could say that about a drowning, getting hit by a car, a fall, any death, oh it was instant death so we just threw him in the back of the SUV.

They likely had a BleedStop or other gunshot wound control patch kit.
No, all they had was a dirty sock tourniquet and hope.

Did you make that up? What would you apply a tourniquet to when the victim’s carotid artery has been destroyed?
In such a situation, you grab the first thing available and apply it as a tourniquet hoping it will hopefully stop or at least delay the bleeding long enough to get the victim to the hospital or ambulance for a blood transfusion and more effective means to stop the bleeding.

I doubt there was someone nearby who looked at Charlie’s wound and declared, “Artery destroyed, no hope. Don’t try to save him. ”

I wasn’t sure YOU knew what a tourniquet is and how it works. I guess the “dirty sock tourniquet” comment was just a very awkward way of saying they didn’t have anything useful at their disposal, certainly nothing that could save Charlie.

Clearly you don’t understand his injury, what a tourniquet is, or how it is used

And why have no photos of his body been released?

He’s dead, right? That’s what they claim. So there’s no HIPPA laws that apply. If he’s dead, we should have photos of the autopsy or evidence.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Wtf? Why on earth would they need an autopsy? The world saw how he got killed. He was already in an open casket getting kissed by his wife the day after the shooting. Why would he need to be in the morgue on ice for two weeks?

Having an EMT assessment/report would have been nice.

Yes actually. Medical emergencies are crude. The persons unconscious anyway, they won’t feel it. You toss the person in, sometimes rip their clothes off. Whatever’s needed to sustain or get them to the hospital ASAP. Unless you walk around with a a stretcher everywhere you go, yeah that is the course of action.Carry out the person and Throw the injured or collapsed or deceased in the back of the car and drive as fast as you can to the Hospital. How was Trump dragged out last year after the shooting?

Shouldn't there be a medical expert at every large event just in case we need this kind of ruling?

There was discussion at the beginning of this thread that an event of 3000 people should have an ambulance and more than six police officers present, yes.

I'm waiting on toxicology. Maybe Kirk was abusing drugs?
