Anyone in Montgomery County Receive PARCC Scores

Last year, I remember getting my kids' PARCC scores in the late summer. This year, it has been completely quiet. Anyone, especially those in the know of MCPS, know if they are even planning to share the child's score with the parent?

MCPS spent a lot of time and money on the PARCC testing last year. Where are the results?

Maybe they are disregarding them since they are no longer going to use PARCC?

Then they should have not even spent the resources on discussing the results with the community, nor had the kids take them.

Plus the time spent on the actual test itself! It's expensive to administer the test.

Amazing how MCPS has zero accountability. Taxpayer money freely spent, without actually having to account for why they spent it.

I am interested in seeing my child's scores. Her homeroom teacher said she had no idea when they are coming out.
Do you know who I should contact at MCPS office to find out? Which department is even responsible for testing?

It is super weird that MCPS is just not sending them. Like we’re all just going to forget about it if they wait long enough. After they got the kids all worked up about it.

Our school told me they would be mailed out next week.

It's a state requirement. Not MCPS's choice. The state controls the results, not MCPS.

I called the central office a couple of days ago and they told me they would be mailed end of Sept or October. No idea why it's so late this year.

I heard there was a mix-up on the vendor's side. I don't know why MCPS is being so secretive. It wasn't their fault.

Maybe they’ll send out a press release.

Though MCPS is often secretive about many things.

MCPS is not responsible for PARCC scores. That is under the control of Maryland Dept of Ed. There are many things we can blame MCPS for, this is not one of them
