MOCO illegal immigrant protest

How is the MOCO illegal immigrant protest and counter protest going?
Any reports from the front lines?

I’m sure 14 cranky MoCo elderly conservatives showed up in their Suburbans, Lexuses, and Rascals. They whined again about property taxes and how much money local schools get (after send 3+ kids thru MoCo schools back in the 70s and 80s).

Crowd size doesn't seem all that big, either group.

No, they whined about illegal immigrants with prior convictions and ICE detainers being let back out on the street without so much as a phone call to federal authorities, so that they can go on to rape and assault vulnerable members of their own immigrant community.

I was in Rockville. It was actually well attended I thought.
On both sides of the argument.

I love how the anti-ICE protesters called themselves, "Pro-immigration."
Conflating immigration and illegal immigration yet again.

The side that was protesting Elrich's actions are not anti-immigration at all. They are totally against illegal immigration. Big difference.

But saying “pro-illegal immigration” doesn’t sound nearly as woke.

There was a gay politician there who said that “We will all get through this, no matter your immigration status or who you love” because it has to be all about them.

Since when do Republicans what the federal government to force the county government to enforce federal laws?

It’s so bizarre that Republicans want rapists let go and sent back to the country instead of tried conducted and put in jail away yet the Republican so yeah they do look rapists

We don't want them here to begin with.
And, when MoCo lets these monsters out on bond, if ICE knew they were there, they could take custody and get them off the streets.

So you think no accused rapist to get bond. I agree with you. So we agreed that the Chevy chase rapist the country club rapist should be in jail right now instead about them but is that correct?

I agree they shouldn’t be here to begin with but ice is totally incompetent and so they’re here. Luckily Montgomery County police have them now and they should stay behind bars for a very long time

That is not what I said at all.
Not everyone accused is guilty. Unless there is a good reason to incarcerate, yes they should get bond.
Someone being in our country illegally is a good reason to incarcerate. They have already proven that they don't respect our laws. Too many have a tendency to disappear before trial.

And, ICE is not incompetent. I urge you too do some research about all they do. They are overwhelmed. And, when a county protects people in their jurisdiction illegally, it is difficult to find them.
