LMVSC town hall

we left but of course made friends over the years; one family i still talk to has had some very unsettling updates.

1. there are no third teams
2. it is true there are more age groups with 0 or 1 teams rather than 2 teams
3. several red teams will be in NCSL
4. there will be several 'holes' (missing teams) or 'fillers' (using a team from a different club)

asking how it generally is, they're desperate to leave but they don't know how. they were pressured into staying and now feel stuck (this is why we left). you can still leave, you'll just lose your deposit. but if you can afford it, it's worth it. you can transfer to a non-CCL club which there are plenty of, or, you can make demands to leave the club with good explanation. CCL will be more accommodating to you, the player, than to the club.

Is this more on the girls side? I did notice more red teams in NCSL than boys.

Which club(s) are they using for fillers?

both sides are really struggling both in total number and quality; this is why they had to fire JN and remove SO as a director, although they made up for SO's money by apparently giving him four teams to coach

i asked, it's just a rumor he's heard. but they are still training and intra-club scrimmaging. it's likely a lack of teams; it's also in the same community. this would likely be the safest game COVID-wise they would have this year

update: it's not a rumor, it's true; don't know if canceled or asked to reschedule games but doesn't matter... either scenario it's due to a shortage of players and teams.

I don’t see any CCL teams having dates/locations for this weekends game, except one. Maybe everyone took the opportunity to reschedule this first week?

if you’re in LMVSC you’d probably understand better; what you’re implying is not the case. they don’t have enough players nor teams

Not true, there are some holes but mostly on the girls side. On the boys side most age groups have two teams. I think 04 or 03 may be only one team. I was told games were rescheduled and not cancelled.

sorry, but I’ve had several conversations with parents. there’ll be musical chairs to fill out rosters with many many kids playing up. and again, not to “aid development” but just to “get 11 players in field with a couple subs”. i will come back to this comment when it’s finally all formalized

There are no uniforms yet so that may be one reason.
