That makes total sense. Senators aren't polygraph experts capable of reliably interpreting polygraph data. If they want to analyze the underlying data, they should do it in consultation with an expert. If they feel there are any discrepancies, they should ask the person who conducted the exam to explain them before drawing any conclusions. |

I would expect that she would have said nothing about the attack to whoever gave her a ride home that night. And whoever gave her a ride would be unlikely to remember a generic instance of giving her a ride home, if she hadn’t mentioned her assault. |
