I remember everything. Especially fresh items that need to be used or go bad. And especially if I have a trip planned.

But you are not as wealthy as them. You presumably sound worried about food spoiling. They lived a different lifestyle than you, they weren't going to cry if some food was wasted.

I think it's just me maybe? I buy a fair amount of groceries every week. And I wouldn't go out of my way to pick up a bunch of fresh food that could spoil if I had a trip planned unless I specifically planned to use it in a particular meal.

Patsy was rich but she and John were cooking their own breakfast. It's not like they had a kitchen full of hired help doing it for them.

But they could cook a breakfast without knowing every item in the fridge.

Yes, the pineapple would have been a special topping for a special Christmas breakfast. It's kind of like forgetting whether or not you bought a candle for the cake. Or bacon to go with the eggs. Or vodka to go in the martini....

Maybe they had Berries too, they are many toppings. If they always topped it with pineapple, then pineapple wouldn't be very special on Xmas.

How do you know the clothes were dirty?
Also, I have TONS of clothes. My closet is huge 16 x 8. It's full of clothes. Unfortunately, I use only 10% of my closest due to weight gain. Patsy was heavy too. So, maybe she did wear a few items over and over, I do.

It didn't sound like Patsy was the type to wear an outfit twice. She worried about things like having matching outfits with JonBenet and even bought JonBenet a doll for Christmas that had matching clothes.

Think about the pageants and all the focus on fashion. Patsy was not the type to just roll out of bed with a full face of makeup and the clothes from the night before. I'm just not seeing her of all people doing that.

But if she was so vain, why was she overweight? Why didn't she exercise?
What did you read that made you think she wasn't the type to wear an outfit twice?
She was leaving early for vacation, grabbing that outfit was easy. She wasn't going to see the people that saw her wear that outfit the day before.

She had undergone treatment for ovarian cancer in the years leading up to this. She put on some weight during the process. But she still kept to her normal makeup, hair, clothes. She was a former beauty queen herself who still was very much in the pageant world via JonBenet. She cared about impressions.

I have never, ever seen a cancer patient GAIN weight, FYI.

Agree, that poster just makes things up as she goes along.

Premature menopause doesn't cause weight gain?

Was she thin up until the the menopause? Again, you are inventing things.

She was a beauty queen? She walked the runway in swimsuits.....Her health issues (and age) contributed to her weight gain. She wasn't exactly huge so why this so important is beyond me. Yes, she still was "taking care of herself", she still worried about impressions and looking good. Take one look at the woman and you will see that.

Completely irrelevant. Maybe she loved him. Who knows. It's not relevant for JonBenet though.

Yes, Mrs Clause.

Also though Gary Olivia was just arrested a few months ago for child porn. He had written a poem about JB, had a shrine to her and lived down the street at the time. Surely he could've seen her playing in the neighborhood before and been in their house before from that home tour. All very suspicious.

They didn't always have pancakes, did they? And when they did have pancakes the kids liked to top them with their favorite fruits. Pineapple being one of those fave fruits.

If they were having special birthday ice cream sundaes and she couldn't remember if she had gotten her kids' favorite caramel sauce I would find that odd too.

Bottom line is - the Ramseys said that JonBenet fell asleep in the car and that Patsy her to bed.

We know from the pineapple that JonBenet was awake at some point AFTER arriving home. This idea that a sex predator would set up a little tea party with a snack of pineapple for JonBenet is ridiculous.

JB was asleep in the car when John put her to bed. Then he sent Patsy to help her get ready for bed. This would have woken her up. After Patsy left the room she went upstairs to the third floor. Burke went downstairs because he wanted to play with a toy. His dad heard him and went to stay with him. Perhaps unbeknownst to the parents JB now in bed and wondering what she missed out on after falling asleep in the car went down stairs. She would have gone to kitchen first. Maybe she peeked to the next room and saw it was just her brother and dad playing with a toy. She knew she was supposed to be in bed so she grabbed a few pieces of pineapple from the bowl on the counter by just touching the pineapple not the bowl and then went back to bed. Burke could have gotten the pineapple out when he came down to play with the toy. He remembers playing with the toy but not eating the pineapple. He said in his interview with Dr. Phil he can't remember what he ate 20 years ago. I think he got the bowl out before he played with the toy. John came in after and did not know Burke had put the bowl on the counter. None of them knew that JB had snuck downstairs for a minute just to make sure she wasn't missing anything. Kids go to the refrigerator or cabinet all the time and get something to eat. I find my kids making toast downstairs after I think they are in bed. No big deal. I don't think Santa had a tea party with JB. Also when you put one kid to bed and the other one is still up the first kid often gets back up because the sibling is up. how many times do parents carry sleeping kids or babies from a car and put them to bed and they are back up? About 50% of the time in my house. I think the pineapple was a red herring. It was an ordinary bowl of pineapple that 2 kids helped themselves to before bed without the parents knowing. I think that red herring stumped the entire police force.

The pineapple is significant simply because the parents deny any knowledge of it at all. Patsy couldn't remember if she had bought it from the store. You wouldn't buy fresh cut pineapple from the store more than a week before you actually used it. Why on earth would she not remember at least buying the stuff and having it in her refrigerator?

If she was planning to use the pineapple on pancakes during Christmas breakfast - of course she would remember picking it up from the store. It's just the mundane little details like this that make the pineapple significant. She either did or didn't buy any that week - which is it? She's lying about the pineapple. Why?

If someone showed me some random item from my pantry bought within the past year I can about guarantee you that I would remember buying it and probably from which store and whether or not it was on sale when I bought it. I think that most of us can say they same thing.

What type of pineapple was it - fresh? Cut? Sliced? If she didn't buy it did she cut it? Did the housekeeper or John?

Was it removed from the refrigerator? Also, the iced tea glass only had Patsy's fingerprints, correct? Could she have taken it out and mistakenly put t in the decorative bowl? Maybe she was tired from the night before or had a drink or two?

O.k....so we are to believe that she was so tipsy drunk that she fell asleep in her party clothes and makeup. Put together a sloppy little tea party for her daughter and then just...forgot about doing it?

Patsy is the only one who talked about doing the shopping. She went to the grocery store, she planned Christmas breakfast. John said that the kids often put fruit on their pancakes. Pineapple was a favorite....of course you would buy pineapple, right?

Maybe her prints are on the glass because she unloaded the dishwasher?

He couldn't have taken off the mask when he woke her?

I don't think him socializing with her in the kitchen before he struck is ridiculous at all.

He brought a mask with him but yet brought no tools to do the raping and killing? He wanted to only use stuff he found in the house for that part? Why?

He was planning to take her with him, but couldn't fit her in the suitcase or get her out the window.

She was a small child. Whatever exit he used for himself, he could use for her as well.

Who knows. Maybe something happened that changed his plans.

It's a shame it was never investigated properly because we will likely never know what really happened.

Of course it's not relevant for JB. She is dead

Maybe someone knew they liked pineapple and brought it to the party. It got stashed in the fridge during clean up.

I don't find that odd. I don't remember every ingredient as long as we have some ingredients.
Caramel sauce? As long as there were other toppings, I wouldn't give this a thought

My oncologist said that some people lose weight and some people gain weight. I am not the person who originally brought up her weight, just thought I would add my own personal experience. I can see how Oatsy would not remember many things. Especially because she was so traumatized.

Thank you for these observations. I don't think that she was undergoing chemo at the time of JonBenet's death. She seemed to be a fairly organized person with a lot of balls in the air - all of the gifts that she bought for various relatives, neighbors, friends. Wrapping everything. The special doll she had made for JonBenet along with the coordinating outfits. The tour of her home. Her own Christmas party. And the upcoming travel plans...

Still, I would expect her to remember picking up the pineapple or at least saying "Oh, that's something that I probably picked up".

I think if she wasn't sure, she was smartest to say she didn't remember, the cops had it in for them.

Kids are particular. If you are making a special meal for them you are going to make it a point to have their faves on hand. Or you will at least remember when you are making it - "Darn I forgot to pick that up" or "Dang we don't really have time for the fruit" this morning.
